from what I found 190 and 197 is the same thing.... Just depends on where they measure it from. Anyways the 190 mm speed hub is what you need if you want to put it on the md1000 so that it fits in the dropouts properly. And yes the gates 22t needs to line up properly too

Well that's a good tip for sure I'm just saying I've tried to break the damn thing and I couldn't yet. I did leave the motor cut off shift sensor intact though

Another quick update... The Rohloff IGH is frickin still amazing! too bad about the battery recall on the md1000... it's always something with this f'in bike.... I did recently purchase a luna x1 mtb... I love this Rohloff IGH so much I think i'll replace my SRAM on my x1 with a Rohloff...

Quick update on the MD1000 with rohloff xl 500/14... It's great! She climbs anything on gear 1 with throttle only and goes a-lot faster on gear 14. Another plus is I get nearly double the battery range now. Mind you I am riding this in single track trails in san clemente, as well as the beach...
