FLX F5 Trail quality and support

I've owned 3 versions of the trail since the company launch in 2016, currently I ride the F5 converted to a commuter bike. I just got it in November and I have 3500 miles on it. I had the same budget as you and settled on the Trail. I really like the high torque motor (m600). It's a bit loud but...

Conversion of FLX Trail to commuter

I have the 2.4" super motos but it sure seems to me it would take the 2.8's but the chain stays would be full. Fenders might be a bit of a problem at that point (if that's an issue). I don't have a throttle hooked up, I don't care for them so I don't know what the programing is but I'd be...

Sorry it’s been a while since I had a gen 1. The light module is the only thing in that section of the downtube. Fire the bike up and see if that’s hot when the lights are turned on.

Conversion of FLX Trail to commuter

Thanks I now have 400 miles on it and love the ride. Aside from my upgrade from the 36v bafang M400 max to the 48v M600 i gotta say the supermoto tires up from the Big Bens is the grandest riding improvement. So much more stable and smooth....I'm a little shocked at how big the difference is...

Conversion of FLX Trail to commuter

I don’t care for the touring components, preferring to purchase my own. That said the new seatpost they sell is nice, lights are nice (I’ve since installed a headlight). The rack is ok and the fenders are usually worthless for my needs.

If you tolerate Facebook we have a decent owners group there to supplement the company’s efforts at support https://www.facebook.com/groups/1746144735641088

Trail F5 rear quick release thru axle.

You can buy from FLX but they may not have in stock. Email [email protected]. Someone on the FB owners group said they found a decent replacement from https://robertaxleproject.com/

Conversion of FLX Trail to commuter

I upgraded to an F5 Trail and had a plan to turn it into a cushy commuter. So far I really like how it rides, very much like a Frey CC but 20#s lighter. The M600 isn’t the ultra but that 20 lbs isn’t nothing. I love the supermotos, they really soften the rough streets

    Limited Edition Aurora

How hard is it to remove the rear wheel for a flat repair? Has anyone attached a trailer (hitch) to the rear axel?

Looking for a ALE owner in the greater Seattle area

I would hope to be able to sit on it, anything more would require a face to face conversation at the least.

Looking for a ALE owner in the greater Seattle area

I'm very interested in this bike for my. I've been on an Ebike since 2016 and looking to upgrade now to something very nice. This bike has really caught my attention. I'm looking for someone locally that would let me examine one in person. It seems like the local Evelo office is no longer in...

Known Issues & Problems with FLX Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Jeff you probably just need to add some grease behind the rubber seal around the crankshaft on the chain ring side . Pull the crank pry out the rubber seal just put some grease in there and it will work it's way in and probably quiet your noise. We have a pretty knowledgeable Facebook group...

    Such a lonely sub forum

FLX owners have an active Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1746144735641088/ Maybe something will build here too. FLX is one year out from the launch of it's indegogo campaign and it's been quite a ride.
