Have any of you old timers posted any primers on building an ebike? I can't find any recent books on Amazon. I just want something fairly simple with a front hub motor, water bottle battery, pas to extend my recreational ride distance at under $1000.

I recently bought and installed the same Dillinger kit on my wife's 1990 Bridgestone MB4. Are you referring to the screws on the hub motor that are meant to hold the disk break? If so, AND IF, LIKE MY WIFES BIKE, YOU DONT HAVE DISC BRAKES, you can just remove the screws and toss them. If not...

George S.: Thanks so much! I wasn't aware of the torque sensor pedal assist feature and it sounds like a feature I want for my road bike. Are there decent kits under $1000 with that feature?
