    Transporting the Cheetah

I use the motorcycle carrier from Harbor Freight. It supports 400lbs for $130. Sorry it only carries one bike.

Fitting a 54 tooth front chain ring

Gents, the motor only has so much to give. Increasing the chainring size only allows you to catch up to the motors output. If you want to go faster, you will need to increase the motor output or put more ass into it. The crank won't do it for you.

Does the Cheetah need Suspension Front Forks?

Congrats & awesome. Im still shopping for a new fork. The Wicked Thumb guys won't say what fork they are using. Ive a Himalo fork with all the right dimensions but, no US supplier. And leading up to Christmas, I can't spend on myself.

Celtics, I have a Cheetah without the suspension fork. Is there any brand or name on the fork on your bike?

Fitting a 54 tooth front chain ring

Right, The 46 is just about the limit in assist mode fast as you can pedal. The motor only will assist up to a certain rpm so you really can't go much faster than about 28 pedaling unless you have a down hill or wind at your back. I have been 34 mph on this bike down hill (big Hill). on flat...

Fitting a 54 tooth front chain ring

The "State Bicycle Co." crank is at https://www.statebicycle.com/collections/drivetrain/products/state-bicycle-co-fixed-gear-single-speed-crankset Note the chainring it comes with is 1/8" and you need a 3/32" to be compatible with the Cheetah. I have'nt changed to a larger ring. I don't think...

Does the Cheetah need Suspension Front Forks?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Double-Shoulder-Rebound-Adjustment-MTB-Moutain-Bicycle-Fat-Fork-26-4-0-135mm-/353247660728 This fork on ebay has 34 m tubes. Guess what the diameter is on the stock non-suspension fork is? Yup, 34 m. That would mean you could slide your old fork out and the new one in...

Fitting a 54 tooth front chain ring

This is an SBC crank. I upped 46 teeth however I can now change chain rings to what ever tooth count I desire. I think it was $68. Note that the chain ring does have to be mounted on the backside of the spyder to maintain alignment.

Fitting a 54 tooth front chain ring

With both crank sets laying on a flat surface (new & original) check the spacing of the crank arm to chainring. I found a big difference here. There may not be enough space for the chain guard if you use it and the alignment of the chain to the center cog may be off. You may be able to move the...

    Brake upgrade

If you have a Cheetah and are running the stock Tektro metallic pads, don't be afraid to try some aftermarket semi-metallic pads. I just installed a set of "Jagwire" pads and they are significantly quieter and stop with alot more authority. I got them from Amain cycle for about $30. Cheap &...

    Replacement pads for Tektro calipers

I have a newish bike with Teatro disc brakes. They are very noisy, not rubbing noise, I have adjusted for that. Just a grinding sound when applying. I have cleaned the disc's, sanded the pads etc. It's time to try different pads. What is the go to best brand of replacement pads?
