    Baby Boomer Feature Ebikes

Regarding the comment about fitting a bafang mid-drive to the bike of your choice - the bafang is a very different riding experience than the Bosch/shimano/impulse/brose mid drives we see on designed from the ground up ebikes. Bafang uses a cadence sensor to determine assist levels, so it's not...

Ride safe ! Article video how fast accidents happen

Scary to watch. I've had a few crashes when I was younger that I would not care to repeat at almost 60. And yes, folks do need to be extra careful when riding a fast ebike. Cars and pedestrians may not be expecting a bike to travel so fast. Maybe I'm just getting old, but travel by bike...

Luna Smoothie cruiser... almost like Biktrix Stunner

Having had a bike with a rear mounted battery, I agree that it's not an ideal location for balance or for picking up the bike (rear heavy). Add loaded panniers and it gets even worse. The downtub mount is much better. I currently have a BBS HD bike and would not recommend anything less than...

Looking for a new bike that may/may not exist

I don't think the Kalkhoff meets his < 5k criteria. And that second option, after a motor swap, likely wouldn't meet it either. I'm pretty enthused about the R&M and am fortunate enough to have a dealer nearby. Room for the large, cushy tires is especially appealing.

    Best no hassle commuter ebike?

Do spokes really require frequent adjustment? With a quality wheel build, I think not. A had a mountain bike with the same wheels and beat the crap out of it on single track trails. Never needed to adjust spokes.

ODK & CC: Speed on the flats

Yes, 21-22 on totally flat terrain is possible with my ODK. It climbs well and pulls hard. Would not want to go faster on that bike as the ride is too harsh for more speed.

    Cross Current

Can't wait to read about your experience with the bike after you've had a chance to ride it a bit. The setup you refer to in your post, is it a rack? Are you planning to install fenders? I live in Pacific Northwest, so fenders are a must for much of the year.
