I know the batteries between xp & step-thru aren't interchangable, but I suspect they are between xp v1 & xp v2 are as well as step-thru v1 & v2. I need to contact xp customer server to see about getting a replacement keylock switch since the one the locksmith drilled out is damaged now.

I'm 1600 miles from home and I managed to loose the key to my Lectric Step Thru. I have the spare at home, but that does me no good. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? How did you resolve it? Can a locksmith help?

It probably doesn't matter much to me. I have an ATV with thumb, although it operates more horizontally rather than the vertical orientation of those I've seen on ebikes. That is a more natural motion than vertical IMHO.
