Looking for a solution for lost key

That IS IT!!! Thank you for that, I will order a replacement right away. I contacted Lectric and once again: I contacted customer service by phone several weeks ago to ask for help to get my step-thru unlocked (see...

Looking for a solution for lost key

I know the batteries between xp & step-thru aren't interchangable, but I suspect they are between xp v1 & xp v2 are as well as step-thru v1 & v2. I need to contact xp customer server to see about getting a replacement keylock switch since the one the locksmith drilled out is damaged now.

Looking for a solution for lost key

Do you know if it's the same blank for version 1 Lectrics as version 2, or the same for step-thrus as for XPs?

Looking for a solution for lost key

Wow, you're right. After only watching 3 minutes of that video I understand the technique. Although a double sided key like the Lectic bikes use are more difficult to "crack", the technique will still work. For security reason I won't get into all the things that occur to me that might be useful...

Looking for a solution for lost key

Here's what happened. After calling Lectric and telling me they couldn't help I called a locksmith to come out, who spent 40 minutes trying to pick the lock and failed. He then helped someone else and came back to me and tried again for another 15 minutes and failed. He really tried hard to...

Looking for a solution for lost key

I'm 1600 miles from home and I managed to loose the key to my Lectric Step Thru. I have the spare at home, but that does me no good. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? How did you resolve it? Can a locksmith help?

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

It arrived today, but rather late so I will unbox it tomorrow and do a thorough inspection and go adjust / setup as necessary. Ordered on August 14, delivered October 1 - 6 weeks.

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

Thanks for that info. If it is almost unnoticeable and functionally irrelevant I wouldn't bother. I want Lectric eBikes to be around a long time that just adds to their expenses, and ultimately it will increase the cost of their products. If a problem surfaces that limits my enjoyment of the...

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

Due to an email issue I just now saw the notice that came on the 24th that included the FedEx tracking. According to the tracking info today, it should be delivered tomorrow! Yeeha!!

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

I'de say so, given the 1270 difference in our order numbers, and with only 400 waiting to go out. Sorry! :(

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

Thanks for that very useful info. I suspect with that many needing pick up by FedX it will take awhile for FedX to. It raises the question of how FedX will actually pick them up, and if they will be picked up in "invoice number order". 400 is a huge volume of boxes, I suspect it would easily...

    Lectric XP Throttle Assist

It probably doesn't matter much to me. I have an ATV with thumb, although it operates more horizontally rather than the vertical orientation of those I've seen on ebikes. That is a more natural motion than vertical IMHO.

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

I placed the order for my XP on July 31, and it was delivered on August 7th. I put an additional order in on August 14 for a step through. I spoke with Gabe at Lectric to ask a few questions about orders. Q1) Are Bikes assembled in the US or China? A: China. They are shipped to Los Angeles...

Can somebody point me to display codes?

    That's awesome! Thank you :)

Can somebody point me to display codes?

Is there a listing of all of the codes to change tire size, display voltage and other things? I rode my bike at night a week or so and the backlight was blindingly bright. It would be nice if it compensated for ambient light. Maybe it does with the right tweaks.

    Step-Thrus delivered (Black) w/images & timeline

Indeed. I just came back from talking to a friend and he suggested it would be easier to put the bike in without the tote and it sure was with far less "hassle". I could put 2 bikes in totes in the van with the 2 rear seats folded, but with less room for other things. I do like the idea of the...

    Step-Thrus delivered (Black) w/images & timeline

My mistake, I got the 50 gallon Craftsman tote with red top from Lowes, and yes it comfortable fits the XP, however it appears from your photos your handlebar folds differently than mine, possibly due to which way you turn the front wheel? I have only tried to fold the bike by pointing the...

    Step-Thrus delivered (Black) w/images & timeline

That tote seems to be a different model that the 64 gallon tote I got at Lowes. The one you're showing doesn't have a handle, but does appear to have wheels. Mine came with a red top. I'm very glad to have the handle, it makes loading & unloading easy. I have a black step through on order I...
