Got my freehub done under warranty thanks to Epic cycles. No more noise from the wheel and great to be out on my bike again.

Thanks for sharing that, my wheel has been sent off to have the freehub replaced. That’s exactly what I thought will get replaced, but still Pure Electric still said the whole motor needs replacing at £700 plus. It would be like taking your car in for a new starter motor and the garage saying...

Also have you used the Ebikemotion app? If there’s any error it will be on the app when you link the bike.

Not sure about the problem, but I had a flashing purple light on my D31 and paid PE to do a software update. Was £20 even though I didn’t get it from them. It’s worth a try. It was the Norwich branch. Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks for the update, the picture looks exactly like the cover of the X35 motor. See if you can get a part number, as you say the older the bike the more information we will get about them. Glad you are getting it sorted. Pete

According to Orbea it’s a standard Shimano freehub! Please let me know how you get on.

I have a gain with a freehub that needs replacing and got told today that the whole motor needs replacing as the freehub can’t be replaced, not my words, the words from an Orbea rep. I wouldn’t have got the bike if I knew this!!!

Hi, has anyone got any idea on how to replace the freehub on a Ebikemotion M1 X35 motor? Mine is making a grinding sound and can see rusty grease in the bearing. Any help from anyone would be great. Many thanks. Pete.
