Would the Vado 3.0 have enough range for me?

I think it is disappointing you cannot get a "tailored" Vado 3 - at least not here in Australia, but the rub is when you come to replace your battery, ... only the higher capacity one is available, ...

Would the Vado 3.0 have enough range for me?

I think many would hesitate to comment as there are so many variables. :-) What I say is a sample of one - so judge accordingly, ... I have a 2020 Vado 3, but being Australian the top speed is restricted to around 27 - (about 17MPH). Due to gearing on bike it is a bit of an effort to do much...

Kineket Suspension Seat Post - Anyone got a 'mountable' under seat bag?

The Kinekt bag is shaped so it fits around the Kinekt mechanism but obviously there some movement in the area. Kinekt say their bag is a partial security measure as it hides the Kinekt suspension - though this is a weak point, not the least with Kinekt plastered over the saddle bag. I ordered...

Can I put a frame lock on the front wheel (fork) instead?

If you closely inspect the photos of the Como 5 review in this forum you will see a photo of a Como that seems to have a frame lock attached for the rear wheel (this is the photo of the bike that also has a Kinekt suspension post). Also have you seen on Amazon they sell some ABUS mounting...

Which frame lock mounts to the Specialized Turbo factory mounts?

Yes I have a Vado 3, 2020. The lock I got from Amazon was Abus Pro Tectic 4960 Frame Lock This also has an added cable (which I had forgotten about.) This extension chain is $42 at Amazon; Abus 4960 Immobilizer Extension Chain, 100cm

Which frame lock mounts to the Specialized Turbo factory mounts?

I purchased an Abus Frame lock for my Vado 3 - but put it to one side dreading the hassle of attachment - but Facing up to this task yesterday found that it fitted mounting inserts perfectly. Luck of the draw?

Help me pick which Specialized Turbo to get -- thanks!

In an older post you seemed equivocal about these handlebars. What’s your current view. How do you assess merits of Baramind and Kinekt stem suspension? Curious! 🤔

Help me pick which Specialized Turbo to get -- thanks!

I think that's a major negative. I have more or less given up on prospect of self servicing and transporting due to Vado 3 being cumbersome. The other point is that whilst some will have better judgement than me, I would need 3 months solid riding to work out if bike is for me, ... so you...

Help me pick which Specialized Turbo to get -- thanks!

I think it’s impossible to help you as in the end you have to put some value on each bikes characteristics given your own circumstances and context. I have been struggling with choice between Vado 3 and Vado SL. I really like that SL is lighter and all that goes with that, but as I am an ageing...

Reason(s) for the harsh Vado ride

I am one of the Vado 3 owners who had not ridden in 40 years - so an older guy. I have had the bike now approaching 5 months and have a little over 3,000 k on the clock. I found the bike terrible in the early days every crack in a concrete path seem to be jarring. I immediately lowered the tire...

    Vado 5.0 Anti-theft feature?

I think Specialized marketing needs a bit more attention to detail and be tailored to the various markets it operates in. We have this universal key thing, but it seems pretty impractical for many, a standard popular Frame lock will not fit despite indications that's the purpose of the...

The $7000 e-bicycle that's worth every cent for best e-bike ever (Vado SL) - Australian Press Report

One thing the review didn’t mention it can get rather hot here in Australia in Summer and garages of all sizes & types turn into ovens especially with radiant heat of car engine blocks. Keeping the Vado SL battery in reasonable temperatures will be an inconvenience.

The $7000 e-bicycle that's worth every cent for best e-bike ever (Vado SL) - Australian Press Report

I have not done the arithmetic, but it is not unusual, regrettably, for price in Australia to be even higher than the USD exchange rate would suggest. Apple products come to mind as a consistent example of this. There are so many brands of e-bikes available in Australia, but many of brands...

The $7000 e-bicycle that's worth every cent for best e-bike ever (Vado SL) - Australian Press Report

In yesterdays Australian Financial Review a short review on the Vado SL. Worth every cent they say, ... "The Specialized Vado SL is the most luxurious, easiest-to-use, and overall best e-bike we have ever reviewed." Its pretty effusive review, but I suspect few Australians will actually part...

Bought a Turbo Levo Hardtail yesterday but it keeps turning off!

Not sure/convinced about how "on the ball" Specialized Australia are in case of the electric bikes, ... interested to hear how you get on.
