I just got this rack but can't figure out how to mount to the brake on the left. I can see in your picture the right side with the spacer and the long screw that came with the rack went right in. But on the side with my brake, I removed the top brake screw and tried the long screw with spacer...
I've got the second gen, and there's a Velcro wrapper wrapping the wire to the control box, when I open the Velcro the cable is solid all the way to the controller.
BTW how do you remove the rear wheel? when I pull the rubber cap off I can see the cable going into the hub through the hex nut and the wire goes all the way to the control box, I assume the cable can disconnect at some point?

i have an older trailer I tried but the bolt on the back of the bike is too large to fit the adapter the trailer came with.
Has anyone had success adding a trailer?

What about upgrading the battery to 52v could the controller handle it? Would you get much power increase or is the 4 extra volts negligible? Maybe a battery like this one: http://lunacycle.com
