I also don‘t think it can be a good idea to leave your bike parked long term in the higher or lower gears. Best to have the chain straighter and under less stress when not being used ?

Smart assist has 11 steps of assistance that the 6 sensors provide data for so I really don’t think that your own individual tuning settings affects what output it provides.

I was wrong... I swore I read that somewhere however when trying to find it, I found this bit of text from Giant - the Smart Assist mode “is able to use all 11 Micro-assist levels between 50 percent and 360 percent support ratio that are pre-programmed in the motor. These 11 levels are the same...

Nope, I did the same (using the latest firmware) and there seems no way to adjust it back or if it does, it doesn't display :-( Looks like we have yet another bug - sigh...

Ah, not good. You should back off pedalling power slightly before you shift though. BTW. Auto mode only selects between 1 and 4, 5 is only selectable manually.

Auto used to be great until the app based firmware update messed things up. At present the app can’t load it but there has been another firmware released in the last couple of weeks that only the dealer can upload which fixes things apparently. I’ll find out next week when mine gets done.

It's a common complaint since the "update". I'm sure there has been feedback... The implementation mode is much better, pity the resultant programming is so bad...

I‘m unable to connect a Garmin 530 to my 2020 Trance. It presently has a Bryton linked (also via ANT+) which I’m pretty sure is the issue as I can pair my partners 2020 Liv Intrigue without a problem. On the Trance it just keeps looking for sensors... I had to re pair the Bryton after firmware...
