Max Programable Speed Not As High As Claimed?

Not sure about that. I had that bike and was able to set the max speed at 28 mph in the menus. Sold it though so can’t check that.

    New LMT’d - who’s in?

No. Get a 30.7 and a shim. That’s your best bet.

    New LMT’d - who’s in?

Yeah. I found a nice rack with 100lb load, a dropper post (had to get smaller diameter with a shim), fenders. Gonna be nice.

Buying Ride 1 Up bikes online

Have emailed a few times to get some answers to questions. Never had to wait longer than about 12 hours (even on the weekend) for a response.

Future Bike Model Proposal: Roadster 800

Luckily ordered mine day 1. Wish the core-5 was still sub $1000 though. Was thinking about getting one as a loaner.

Future Bike Model Proposal: Roadster 800

Not sure but I know they upgraded a lot of little things. My guess would be lighter fork, lighter battery (different than on the 700), higher quality frame, lighter motor? I also wonder if these wheels are tubeless ready? Would love to convert them to lighten it up further.

Future Bike Model Proposal: Roadster 800

Biggest thing to remember with a torque sensor is properly shifting so you don’t destroy the chain. I usually use the throttle to bring me up to speed then start pedaling to put less stress on the chain and components. Also, have loved the customer service of Ride1up. They offer a 30 day money...

Future Bike Model Proposal: Roadster 800

Yep. Battery included. I have the 700 which is 62 but unless you are trying to load it up on a bus or in a truck (which I’ve done) you don’t even notice the weight. Now put a stronger motor, more torque, and 11 pounds lighter; I have a smile on my face already.

Future Bike Model Proposal: Roadster 800

The wheel size is the same so I’m guessing the fenders that were on my 700 would fit. I do know there are some issues when shipping with rack/fenders on as that increases the chances of mishap/bent components during shipping. Hoping they can include some on the side if I ask really nicely. I...

Future Bike Model Proposal: Roadster 800

First of all let me say the new entry level is slick. For that price point I’m pretty sure it’s going to be on a lot of lists for bikes to buy under 1k which was smart. As for the Lmtd, I’ll grant that it’s not for everyone, but I definitely don’t think they were trying to fill a price point (an...

Future Bike Model Proposal: Roadster 800

I’ve been told by a very reputable source, soon. Soon enough that I sold my 700 (which I absolutely love) and put aside $1700. Thanks stimulus check!

    Why no action here?

Hey there @gkgeiger - Congrats on the bike. I got one of the first 700's and it's been great! So good in fact, I originally bought it for my dad but kept it myself. I'm already planning on getting the 800. Damn you, Ride1up! :) If there are any questions you have about your bike, let me know...
