    Smart Charger Question

That's what I am doing now just to be safe. Our son works at a bike shop and I will ask him to call Giant and see what they say. I'll post his reply. Thanks.

    Smart Charger Question

During the winter I will be using my Smart charger to keep my battery at a 60% charge level. The owners manual states: Smart charger: Long term storage charge mode (60% charge) ∙ Connect charger ∙ Press LED2 button ∙ Charging will be done excactly like regular charging procedure, except: LED2 is...

Water bottle for my Trance E 1 Pro

So having read about normal water bottles not fitting well on Giant e bikes I can confirm that is true. I am looking for suggestions. My Trance is the small frame and I need to find a good bottle that will fit a standard side opening bottle cage. Thanks for the help.

    User Manual: Two Stars

I have a 2020 Trance E 1 Pro and on the left shock is a chart showing suggested settings for various rider weights. For instance I weigh 140 lbs and the chart says that my shocks should be between 58 and 68 lbs pressure. The attached photo is pretty good so hopefully you can see your correct...

First ride on my Trance E 1 Pro

Yes, this is my first e-bike and I have been riding for 45 years. Last year I cycled 3,600 miles.... I'm not fast and I don't do crazy long daily rides but I am consistent. I don't want to ride fast on the Trance, I enjoy getting out and about and the pleasure of riding. The Trance just allows...

    Giant Explorer E+ 2 grips

This topic has come up before. Try doing a search on this forum for Egon grips. If I remember, they had to cut off a small part of the oem grip and use it as a spacer between the controller and the handlebar so it would take out the slack and tighten up.

    Programming assist levels

A 2020 Trance E + 1 Pro. My wife is getting a 2020 Intrigue E + 1 Pro. We've riding analog mtb's in Flagstaff for 12 years now but the altitude started getting to me last summer. (Not that we do that much technical riding up there like our son does).

    Programming assist levels

Thank you Oscar56 for your "testing". I'm all for pedaling the majority of the time. I only want to "flatten the hills" and get some help with the Flagstaff wins. I hope to post my results when I get the bike in May. Our son texted me a photo of a beautiful Giant shipping box the other day...

    Calorie accuracy?

I am still waiting for my Giant e-bike to arrive, but I ride 3,000 miles a year on my analog gravel bike. I don't think that any app can come close to calculating calories accurately. The app doesn't know your weight, the wind speed /direction, elevation gain, etc. The Giant e-bikes does know...

    Programming assist levels

While I patiently (NOT) wait for my Trance E + 1 Pro I have been think about programming the assist levels. I think I want to bring them down some and try to extend my battery range. My main goal is to "flatten" the hills a bit and get help with the Flagstaff AZ elevation (7,000 ft.) and...

    Water bottle for a Trance

Several weeks ago I stumbled on a thread that talked about water bottles fitting too tight on a Trance Pro. It was rubbing the bottom of the top tube. Someone found a bottle that fits better than the standard bottle designs and he used a side release cage. I cannot find the thread and I didn't...

    Tuning in Ride Control

That sounds encouraging. I'm the geek in house and I imagine I'll be the one to do the geeky stuff like charging the battery, tire pressure and beer selection after the ride. 👍🍺😁

2020 GIANT Explore-E+ Maximum Range Expectations

As I have been doing my research I have noticed that most LBS carry very few models on the floor and never the higher tiered bikes. And to add insult to injury they never have a Small to test 😳. But to be fair it must be expensive to carry lots of inventory. And that is why I'm reading lots of...

    Tuning in Ride Control

Great thread. I have yet to get an E bike but I'm drooling over the Trance E + 1 Pro. I've wondered about fine tuning the settings using the app. Slightly off topic, but if my wife and I both get e bikes does anyone know if I can "tune" two different bikes with one app? I might have to install...

Anybody have experience with the "Automatic" setting on the RideControl ONE?

Thank you Cbcler. When I get the bike I will obviously try all kinds of ride settings. My main goal is to use it in Flagstaf AZ in the summer. At age 71 the altitude (7K feet), hills and wind are affecting me m much more than in years past. I am really looking for the Trance to level out those...

Anybody have experience with the "Automatic" setting on the RideControl ONE?

I am interested in the 2020 Trance E + 1 Pro that has the new Automatic assist setting. Can anybody share their experiences using it compared to manually selecting the assist level? I am wondering if it helps with getting any better battery "mileage".
