I cannot see why you need to take the chain apart to remove the wheel. An IGH has a sprocket which you chain would run on, just like a bicycle with a cassette. You just need to life the chain off the sprocket/cassette.

Power cable. It is electronic shifting (well, my Rohloff is, you can get old school shifting models as well).

Pretty much ... no through axle but. Old school skewer. The electrical connection can be removed first. Nothing hard about it.

In my case the same as with a chain execept that I have to disconnect the cables to the electronic shifter.

Gates have a app that assists with setting the tension. No idea as to its effectiveness as I have not had to use it yet.

That is an interesting point. One I will have to watch for and see if that explains the lack of detection with my Trackr Radar.

Interesting comment about the roundabouts. They are not welcome here from a cyclists point of view. They are quite dangerous for a couple of rasons: motor vehicle operators like to fail to give away to vehicles in the roundabout (bicycles are vehicles) so near misses and worse are quite common...

We do drive on the right side, the left side, which is why it is called right hand side driving :)
