Took Delivery of Aventon Level Today

I can reply that my Level's front brake cable limits my Fomtor adjustable stem to a 20 degree rise. That's about the lift I need, but I am tempted to extend that cable's length to see if a 30 degree rise offers still more comfort.

I've wondered the exact same thing. The ideal would have one more gear of more push in PAS 2/3....

    Aventon Level real world review

750 miles on my Level. Zero problems. (195 lb rider)

Took Delivery of Aventon Level Today

I have found the seat particularly... er... numbing, and have replaced it with the ISM Pro 3.0 (taking the pressure off my "mid-center"). Much improved, especially after a 25-mile outing. I like the idea of an adjustable handlebar stem mentioned above. These are not slights on the Level so...

Took Delivery of Aventon Level Today

Sounds great. I've got about 700 miles on my Level. Sturdy, consistent. Makes the hills un-intimidating and my leisure time more relaxed. I'm learning how to better manage the battery to get more distance, as I'm in a hilly area. Of course, if the smoke would clear here in Eugene I'd have a...

Known Issues & Problems with Luna Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

You are correct, Thomas and Smorgasbord. If I had invested more time researching, I would have avoided purchasing the battery. When it said "only use the 48V charger on a 48V pac" I thought that was their reference to the requirement for a 18650-cell battery (??). [I've no idea if the Aventon...

Known Issues & Problems with Luna Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I don't know if the incompatibility cuts across other batteries. Is Aventon's battery different than what Luna's design intended? (Luna indicated on the phone that the Aventon battery wasn't the only one that didn't charge as promoted.) I did return the charger to Luna and received a refund...

    Level 2020

I'm continuing to very much enjoy mine after 4 months. No regrets whatsoever - all running smoothly. I am cruising rural roads with a good amount of up and down for 20-25 mile rides, and the Level, my first ebike, has removed the intimidation (and hesitation) that those hills used to create...

Known Issues & Problems with Luna Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Repeat: Luna charger DOES NOT WORK as advertised with the Aventon Level battery. It charges to 100% when set to 80% unless the user unplugs it when the battery reaches 80% (and the device starts alternating endlessly between off and on for hours while it 'trickle charges' the 20% I didn't want...

Known Issues & Problems with Luna Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I do not have a device to measure, and when Luna's follow-up response was that the machine behaves "differently" with non-Luna batteries [they told me to "just unplug it" when the machine starts endlessly turning on and off], I realized I had purchased an inconvenient charger for the battery I...

    Level 2020

No problems yet. I'm learning how to better use the PAS. The highest PAS levels deplete the battery quickly (esp on hilly rides), but I'm learning how to better conserve the battery during longer rides by riding in a low PAS more of the time (choosing to cruise at 18-20 mph instead of 28 on the...

    Level 2020

I have got a couple hundred miles on a new Level - it is my first ebike. Enjoying it very much. Did 20 miles this morning out in the countryside around Eugene, and the hills are no longer intimidating (or deal-breaking).

Known Issues & Problems with Luna Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I returned my Luna charger a couple weeks ago and am still awaiting a refund as well. Yes, it is B.S., and hopefully they'll be in business long enough to give us our money back. I have my doubts.

    Aventon Level vs. Ride1Up 700

I'm very happy with the bike, although the weather has limited some of my yearn to ride, but I've gone a couple hundred miles. The Pedal Assist 1 is a bit of a quick start, but I have no problem anticipating it and have not been bothered by it at all, even when I am in start and stop traffic (as...

    80% charged

I had set the Luna to charge to the 80% level and went to bed; in the morning, the battery was charged to 100%. Perhaps it went on, off, on, off for an hour (or five) between 80 and 100% filled, but this is a poorly designed feature. I want it charged to 80% and then it shuts itself off, leaving...

Known Issues & Problems with Luna Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

He didn't talk about "trickle-charging", but he did say he wanted photos of the charger and then he'll let me know what I'm supposed to do. I replied that photos were silly - it looks brand new, exactly like the one on their website picture, and will be returned in the same foam box. That was...

They haven't explicitly agreed to anything. They, of course, should pay for return postage. I purchased using a VISA card so it is, if I'm required to file a claim, covered through VISA.

Likewise. I am pretty sure they'll follow through. They've little to gain with bad publicity, and, given how bored I am having to stay home because of coronavirus, I've plenty of time to make a stink!

    80% charged

I'll see if they do the right thing over the next day or two. I did purchase it with a VISA card and thus am covered if Luna balks.
