Hmmm, the plot thickens. I just discovered the Specialized Turbo Creo SL Comp E5 (there's a mouthful). It's on sale now for just a few hundred more than the Diamondback, already has lights, and can take racks and fenders. Edit: Fixed to include "Creo" in the name. Still a mouthful!

Which Gazelle did you get? I was looking at the Medeo but I’m kind of stuck on having drop bars. It gets pretty windy here, especially on summer evenings, so having the option of a more aero position is attractive to me.
