    CCX rear flat

what size of tannus armour do you use for the CCX with the marathon plus? And any installation tips? I bought some for another bike and just couldn’t get it to fit, so am wary of spending $50-100 on another experiment

    ParDo's CCX log

Thanks, not doing much biking due to the shelter in place but hope to get back to it soon. If you are asking about taking bikes on BART, it's not an issue but since ebikes are so heavy you'll have to rely on the elevators. My route on bart is counter-commute, so there's plenty of space. I...

    ParDo's CCX log

I'm no ergonomic expert, but it's been fine for the ~1 hr commute each way before the Coronavirus shutdown. The grips are molded so you can hold them in a couple different ways. You can adjust the handlebars and seat height to your liking. I think people flip the stem to make the handlebars...

    ParDo's CCX log

Yes my route is quite flat. I do have a 85 foot bridge (Dumbarton). I haven't tried using only throttle, but using PAS I can still hit 26 mph using S or R mode and pedaling hard. On the way down the bridge I hit around 33 mph due to the motor plus gravity providing assist.

    ParDo's CCX log

I've done the commute 3 times now. It's possible to do the commute roundtrip on one charge, but if you want to use level S or level 3 PAS, you may want to charge at work as well (this sounds like what you are planning to do). Part of my motivation to keep this log is just to keep track of...

    ParDo's CCX log

Following in @Justin Fischer 's footsteps, I'm starting my own CCX Log. My commute is 17 miles each way or 34 miles round trip. I already own a Bulls Lacuba 8 (gates belt with Brose mid-drive, class 1) but wanted something faster and knew I needed a large battery. For commuting, I was...

    Crosscurrent X Log

Nice setup. I just ordered a CCX. A little apprehensive about all the issues, but the other ebike I was considering is a Stromer at 2x the cost, so I figured I could spend 1k on tools that will last a while and still come out ahead. Just hope it doesn't randomly crap out on me in the middle...

Would love to know about your GoPro Max setup. Got any pictures? How has your CCX been after another month of commuting?

25 mile commute, mostly flat, looking for Class 3 Ebike

You may have seen this on the other threads, but there's also the upcoming FLX blade 2.0 gates drive with rohloff https://flx.bike/products/blade-2-0 MTB setup but it comes with a commuter package option

Possible to use bike without display?

I have a 2017 Lacuba E8: https://electricbikereview.com/bulls/2017-lacuba-evo-e8/ is it possible to get assist without the display? I'm just wondering what happens if I lose/drop the display, or when it eventually breaks one day.

Bay Area 10/15 mile flat commute

I ended up with the 2017 Bulls LaCuba E8. It's been great so far, really silent drive train. Just wish it would go a bit faster, but staying at 20 mph is probably safer for now. I also see a lot of waterfowl on the bike commute, and zipping by the cars stuck on the 237 highway is a great feeling.

Bay Area 10/15 mile flat commute

Yes, luckily in the Bay Area there are tons of dealers around. Didn't know about the upcoming Trek Allant models, will have to check that out. The number of ebike models is a bit overwhelming at times. Buying a car had fewer choices than this!

Bay Area 10/15 mile flat commute

Hi all, I'm looking to sometimes replace my current solo car commute with a transit + bike commute. The bike portion to work would start at either the Santa Clara GAC Amtrak station or the Milpitas BART station (whenever that opens). The route: Here is a google maps link of the route 10...
