Anybody know how to remove my front wheel wheel?

So I checked with a multimeter and everything checks out to the wires where they would attach to the wheel. I get the same consistent readings at each point of connection. Looks like the hub motor needs to be pulled apart...

Anybody know how to remove my front wheel wheel?

Ok, so a wire question... I have a blue, red and green that comes from the controller to the front fork. Anybody know which of these wires is the positive or what the testing configuration would be with a multimeter? I couldn't get any reading at the fork so i was going to test at the rear...

Anybody know how to remove my front wheel wheel?

It looks like the plate is on the side without wires, but from all the videos I've seen, people beat the axle on the side without wires to break things loose. Think I should beat on the axle or on the hub cover plate? Also, this looks like a 24v Outrider motor from looking at some pics I've seen....

Anybody know how to remove my front wheel wheel?

Yeah, I know. I have the battery installed, power to the thumb throttle and that all fires up correctly. Next I was going to test the power to the wires that lead to the motor to see if they get the power expected. If power runs all the way to the motor wires, then I was going to look at the...

Anybody know how to remove my front wheel wheel?

Ok... I actually figured out how to get the wheel and hub removed, now I'm trying to figure out how to access the inner hub workings. It looks like there is a hub cover (see picture) that should presumably come off and reveal the magic inside, however I can't see how to remove it. I thought that...

Anybody know how to remove my front wheel wheel?

I'm trying to find out how to remove my front wheel on this bike. Anybody know the secret to removing this bad boy? The power wire feeds in from the axle and I'm trying to determine how to remove the wheel so I can test why I'm not getting power to my hub. Thanks!

I need a new thumb throttle - anybody know what kind this is?

I've been working on getting my new-to-me 2009 kilowattbikes cruiser running. Tonight i wired in a battery replacement which seems to work well. I placed in a 36v rather than a 24v as the capacitors seemed capable. Quick test seems positive. When i got the bike the thumb throttle lever platform...

2009 Kilowattbikes cruiser - what battery does it take? are there any good substitutes?

So my controller is a Ananda 2414DLL-3LAU00. Looks like a 25v controller although ive found some posts of people overvolting it successfully. I was thinking of just getting a 36v battery and wiring it into the controller and bypassing the security switch or taking it to a locksmith to see if...

Any idea what battery pack i need?

It looks like the capacitors in the controller box are 25v, so i need a 24v battery, eh? The controller box is an Ananda 2414DLL-3LAU00. The battery connecting posts can be pretty easily bypassed it looks like.

Any idea what battery pack i need?

Good to know! Sounds like i need to pop the cover off the controller box and see what voltage it is. It seems like i could just buy a shark battery, then wire in the battery connections to the contacts on the controller or even just figure out which post is potitive and negative and connect the...

Any idea what battery pack i need?

Wow.... thanks for the info! Alot of the batteries i see are 48v. If i get a higher voltage than the motor was designed for, will i fry the motor?... or what is the side effect of installing a battery that delivers too much juice?

2009 Kilowattbikes cruiser - what battery does it take? are there any good substitutes?

Yes, motor on the front wheel. Ive tried to get ahold of kilowattbikes with no luck. I suspect they went from being US owned to a Chinese distributor or something. I think the box is the controller, wired as you suggest. What should i test on the bike? Mechanically its in good condition. Is...

Any idea what battery pack i need?

I recently purchased an ebike (a 2009 kilowattbikes cruiser) without the battery pack. The overall dimensions of the battery area are 17" long X 5.25" wide X 2.25" tall. Ive attached images of the connection, a 2 prong connector as pictured. Im trying to determine the battery i could order that...

2009 Kilowattbikes cruiser - what battery does it take? are there any good substitutes?

Yeah, that bike you posted looks like the ladies version of the kilowatt cruiser. Sounds like i need to pull the controller from the mount and get a better idea of the measurements and wire setup. I found some 36v batteries on amazon that look like they may work.

2009 Kilowattbikes cruiser - what battery does it take? are there any good substitutes?

it wasn't stolen. I purchased it from a thrift store. someone donated it. i purchased it with the parts missing, etc. The rack is all welded to the frame. Are most batteries a simple positive and negative running out of it? from my searching, that appears to be the case. I'll get a better...

Hey everyone! I just picked up a slightly used Killowat bike ebike. from what i can determine it's a 2009 killowatbikes cruiser. Overall its in good condition, however the removable battery pack and key are missing. I am wondering if i can purchase a battery pack that would fit the prong...
