    Quick-E+

Hi all, Any suggestions on where to source a replacement front mudguard for a 2019 Quick E? Unfortunately I managed to snap mine and I was hoping to replace it with something that matched the rear. I checked with my local Giant dealer but they had no suggestions.

    Quick-E+

That would be awesome, thank you. I've seen a few oversized chain guides that might do the trick, but I was hoping for more of a larger guard to keep the grease off. Great to hear from someone that has actually fitted something!

    Quick-E+

Just out of curiosity, has anyone fitted a chain guard to their Quick-E+? I ride to work in trousers and I'm always worried about getting them caught in the chain. I use a leg cuff at the moment, but it's just another thing to put on when I'm riding in winter, so I'd love to get a chain guard to...

What I really don't like about my Giant Explore E+4

Just a few suggestions from somebody who bought a large Quick E when I really needed an XL. The Thudbuster LT has a lot more setback than the standard Giant seatpost. Cane Creek quote 13.5mm, but that is unweighted (as in not sat on). The static position is actually about 35mm setback, and you...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Rotational Squeaking I’ve had my 2019 QuickE+ for a year now. It’s been mostly reliable, but for an irritating squeaking from the rear wheel, that seemed to occur at low speeds. I’d had it back to the bike shop twice, but it kept happening. I’d learned to live with it, but it was really...

    Giant Ebike Life Expectancy

Wow, that is seriously impressive, both from a longevity and a distance perspective! What's your battery capacity like if you don't mind me asking?

    Giant Ebike Life Expectancy

Thanks for that, I had seen a few posts that part answered my question, but not that one. I agree he's gotten value out of it with those figures, although I'm a bit surprised the battery is down to 65%, I think I'd hoped it would hold up a bit better than that, but I suppose it's probably in...

    Giant Ebike Life Expectancy

That is sort of what I'm thinking at the moment. 2 Years would be around 15,000 km at my current rate of usage, which seems fairly high for most bikes. It would also be somewhere between 300-600 charge cycles and according to my internet research I can expect the battery pack to last 500-1000...

    Giant Ebike Life Expectancy

Hi all, As my name implies, I am the owner of a 2019 Quick E+. I use the bike as a daily commuter and clock up around 150-200 kilometres a week. I charge the bike every day and run the battery down to 40-60% after a day’s commute. Obviously motors and batteries will both wear out eventually...

Headlight and trailer for 2019 Quick-e

Yep, you should be able to splice the wires. There is actually a bit of slack in the wire, so you can pull a fair bit out and pack it back in. You’d want to do it properly so it didn’t vibrate or come apart. Twist wires together, solder and heat shrink would probably do it. You might struggle to...

Headlight and trailer for 2019 Quick-e

Hi Mike, I have a Chariot trailer attached to my Quick E. You need a dropout adapter to clear the frame. Thule make one here that should probably work with your Burley. https://www.thule.com/en-au/accessories/thule-3d-dropout-adapter---10mm-spacer-_-1688844 In terms of headlights, the Quick E...

    Ride Control Firmware

You have my sincere sympathies! I have to say, I really like the design of this bike, but the quality has been absolutely abysmal. So far I’ve had to deal with: This firmware update issue Earlier firmware issue where bike got speed limited to 16kmh Replacement back wheel due to faulty hub...

    Ride Control Firmware

I got took mine to a Giant dealer today and they updated the firmware using their service tool. I was then able to connect with my phone and the app ran a second firmware update on my phone. I think we can deduce from this that basically your bike needs to have a fairly recent version of the...

Ride Control App - displays Contact Dealer and then closes

Good idea, but unfortunately it was the first thing I tried. It didn’t seem to make any different. The screen on the bike says connecting and then a few seconds later it displays the contact dealer message :(

Ride Control App - displays Contact Dealer and then closes

Same problem here, with my 2019 QuickE. It had been working fine before, but since the latest update it crashes the moment it tries to connect to the bike, with the message “CONTACT DEALER”. Honestly I am staggered that a company as large and reputable as Giant can release this bug-ridden joke...

    Quick-E+

You have a few options for raising them: 1. Spacers 2. Stem Angle 3. Stem Length 4. Handlebar Rise 5. Bar Ends 6. Cut the bars 1. Depending on the bike, spacers probably aren’t an option as I haven’t seen too many Quick E’s with spacers above the stem. 2 & 3. Angle and/or length aren’t a bad...

    Quick-E+

Hi John, I think raising the bars will be fine, I have a 140mm stem on my QuickE and the handing is fine. I think the massive tyres give quite a bit of stability and help to make it feel planted. Having said that, I’m not sure I’d recommend a QuickE if comfort is what you are after. The lack...

    Quick-E+

Interesting. My bike always had the power meter, but my clock only works when in navigation mode, never on the main screen. Can I ask if you are using an iphone or android, and if the clock is a new addition?

    FASTROAD E+ EX PRO - 375Wh Battery?

I agree. I don’t know what Giant are smoking bringing this to the Australian market. I get that our currency has depreciated a fair bit, but the retail price for the Fastroad E+ EX Pro, which is the 2020 replacement for the Quick E+ is AUD5,499. The 2019 Quick E+ retailed at AUD3,799 but was...

    Ride Control EVO questions

I have this problem as well, I assumed it was an IOS thing. The thing about RideControl EVO that really annoys me is that the clock is only able to be displayed when you are navigating somewhere. There is no way to display the clock when you are just riding without navigating, even though the...
