NicE find, the new explorer seem to have transitioned to the new design (narrow down tube and new battery fit)
i m still happy with my 2019 explore e+3, glad the explorer line is being continued
this is why i m still keeping my road bike, in the event of e bike is out of service. i know it's not the same, but not able to bike for a few week is way too long lol
are u dealing with Giant Toronto Queen West?
i wonder if any Giant ebike owner has replace their bottom bracket yet. Sounds like it’s something the dealer will charge you an arm and leg for it, given it’s not standardized parts.
I ride around 80km per week, and I usually clean it every 2 weeks. everything is original on my bike, as i only got it last September. I dunno the exactly km because it doesn’t have the lcd display. My battery has 26 cycles, so i think the lifetime mileage is around 2000KM (each cycle gets me...
I m not sure to be honest, the place is packed. Usually i get to chit chat with the owner a little bit, but there’s a line up of people getting their bike repair.
I was lucky he’s able to do everything on the same day. I suspect it’s my MEC world tour Pannier, because the lower part (Red...
I took it to my lbs, and paid for a tune-up. everything is working fine now. I mentioned about the creaking notice, the guy said it might be due to the bottom bracket, which he see some movement. however, he said i ll have to bring back to a authorized giant dealer for replacing the bottom...
Now i know why amazon sell those derailleur guard....
i am so addicted to biking, i prob deal with it on the weekend.
In the mean time, i ll ride my road bike to work lol
i think you are right...
this is how it happened. I went over a bump, i heard my pannier flapped against something. It turns out only one of the two hooks was attached my my rear rack, i suspect it misalign the rear derailleur when it flagged and hit it....
should i bring this to a bike shop...
I do have a bike stand. it happened this morning on my way to work, and i decided to head back home after this. On my way home, it just keeps popping up (less then 3km)
oh, i also notice something very strange. Even if i m coasting, the chain is still moving forward. I don’t recall the chain...
Hi MTL_Biker. The E+3 doesnt have a front derailleur, just the 9 spd Deore in the back.
It’s on the original chain, approximately 2000km (based on 26 battery charge cycles, since my model doesn’t have the computer that logs the lifetime KMs)
Not sure what’s going on with my bike, but my chain is keep coming off as soon as I start peddle
I tried to move the crank with my hands, it’s fine when I am not on the bike. However when I get on the bike, and start peddling, the chain will fall off from the crank....
I tried everything...
for those two 30torx bolts, was it loose when you discover the creak? I have a Giant Explore e3 2019 model. I checked the 3 bolts, and they are super tight (i would have to use electric screw driver to unscrew it), but it makes the creaking sounds whenever i pedal using a lot of torque...
My e3 has a creaking sound around the motor. I experienced that last year, but somehow tighten the seat post fixed it.... however, this time it still creaks after i play around with the seat post.
anyone experienced the same?
hi all
i have a 2019 Giant Explore E, and I notice the key hole for the battery wobbles. If the road is bumpy, the keyhole area is making a loose noise.
is this normal?
yes, a lot of the bike shops are very busy. I m so happy I was able to get it fix.
When it's time to replace the rotor, can I get the 180mm instead of the 160mm I have now? does the bigger rotor have better stopping power?
Hi all, just wanted to report back that my wheel is fixed. I bought the tool from amazon, and played around with it for 1 hr or so, the rotor is no longer rubbing the pads. Thank you everyone for your help!
