24 Mile (R/T) Madison County Trails (MCT) Goshen - Schoolhouse Ride!!!

Completed another leisurely weekend ride with my family today. The Turbo Vado 5.0 is always a delight to ride! I like that you have to put in, in order to get out. Meaning, the bike will give you back only what you put in, no throttle jockey here, I'm still getting a workout! Check out...

Recent 26 Mile Trail Ride (w/video) - Turbo Vado 5.0

Been a while since I last posted, I've put in a few rides recently and decided to start documenting them on my own YouTube Channel. This past weekend I did a 26 mile ride (13 out and back) with my family and friends at one of our local trails (more info on the trail below). The Turbo Vado 5.0...

I purchased the RackTime adapter and modified a Topeak MTX EXP trunk bag. The modification was a breeze to do. The most time spent was ensuring I had everything lined up to my liking prior to drilling holes. Pics coming soon...

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

Wow!!! I’m seriously glad that you (walked/pedaled) away from this crash. I didn’t suffer near as bad as you detailed, most of my injuries were minor, with the exception of embarrassment. Helmets/seatbelts save lives! I was recording via my GoPro while riding yesterday, as soon as I make...

I can understand that! Although I served in the USAF, the few times I had to wear that Kevlar helmet during deployments and deployment training, the weight of a bicycle helmet isn’t even a factor! Agreed, when I low sided my motorcycle a while back, I went down on my left and my shoulder...

That’s about what I paid for mine as well. I receive a Retired Military discount so the price was a bit cheaper after the fact. I will say, I really prefer having this mirror setup slung under the handlebars as opposed to over the top. What about you?

I’m a huge proponent of wearing PPE at all times. I became adamant about PPE many years ago when I began ring motorcycles! Unfortunately, this morning about 6 miles into a short 15 mile ride, I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to test the cranium saving capabilities of my Sena R1. Got a bit too...

If I remember correctly you’d need a 2.0mm hex to loosen the controller. And for the grip, you’ll need a 3.0mm hex to loosen and remove. The brake lever should be a 5.0mm. Here’s some pics of the controller and grip. For the controller, I took one pic looking at it from the “set” button...

I swapped the factory for the Cloud 9 seat I had on my previous bike. For me the factory seat is okay, but that Cloud 9 is the ticket for me. Thanks, I wanted all black, but the 2020 4.0 doesn’t have that option. And I also swapped out the factory grips for another set of Ergonomic GP3 grips...

Yep, sure did. Removing those items is a breeze, I’m sure you can do it yourself. You simply loosen the hex head screws and slide them off, then reverse the process. It’ll take more time taking the bike to the shop than it will for you to do the whole process yourself!

I just bought a 2020 Vado 4.0 and wanted the 6.0 mirror as well. I contacted Specialized and was provided with this part information: S159900001: MSC MY15 TURBO/ MY17 VADO MIRROR I provided this information to my LBS who ordered it. Took about a week to come in. I prefer it mounted under...

We were both 6F’s on the E side. I have the answer for you to use as to who the best pilot/aviator is between both branches: The best pilot/aviator is the one sitting behind the stick... As one of the best SNCO’s I ever had used to say about “Zipper Suited Sun Gods,” - A pilot on the...
