(Refund Refused/More Issues) My Experience - Brand New Stromer. 3 months of ownership, 2 months of repairs.

I mentioned this in a previous post, but my nearby dealer was asking me to pay for all labor, plus $75 just to diagnose. Going through reimbursement would be a hassle itself. They also told me they'll stop selling Stromer bikes soon due to the trouble they were to deal with. Otherwise, there is...

I agree that my distance from the dealer is my issue, and I've never made that a point against the dealer. I've said as much in the posts. My point of the distance I've traveled is more of a knock agaisnt the limited Stromer network, and one of the reasons I say to stay away from Stromer. In...

Yes I know they are required to investigate. It is also my understanding that a charge back can be valid if the product is "Not as described", and "defective" falls under that category as well. To be clear, my issue is with both the shop and Stromer for different reasons.

re: identifying the shop. I have mentioned which shop it is in my previous posts, but my goal right now is not to blast them. Im focused on getting this resolved.

Update: Chargeback still in progress, no instant denial based on how long it has been, so that is looking good.

Attempting a chargeback through my card issuer. My understanding is there is a limit of 120 days, but the "start date" can differ depending on "Evidence of previous ongoing negotiations between the cardholder and the merchant", or "Negotiations occurred within 120 days of the transaction...

Update from Stromer direct: they responded with saying it is the merchants responsibility to offer a refund, while the bike shop is saying it is up to Stromer. Sigh

I have my eyes on the R&M Supercharger2. Network seems much better in Chicago, and more reliable from what I've researched. Any words of advice?

Yes, I've actually been compiling my information should I need to go that route... talking about thousands of dollars, months of usability, incredible inconvenience and time wasted.

Actually sent an email to their service department a week ago, and have not heard back. (forgot to post that update) Emailed the shop owner Thursday, and still have not heard back. Just spoke to the sales manager and he is now included him on email chain. Expecting some sort of answer soon

Yes, I agree with it being a bad idea to purchase a bike from a far dealer, but who the heck expects to need to take 6 trips in 8 months...

I do not believe that my issues could be a result of my bike not being properly "dialed in". This new Stromer has about 800miles on it and has been mostly fine up until now. Even if it's true that it needs to be "dialed in", Stromers extremely limited network in the US means even if you do buy...

Error 1027A last week, no motor power, did not recover after battery reseats. Let it sit overnight and it was fine. Last friday, heavy motor vibrations randomly while cursing at top speed. Same this morning. Requesting a refund after 5 repairs and a new bike swap. Do not buy a Stromer

Update: No further issues since the 1027A error on Sept 27. I live in Chicago and it's starting to get cold, so I'm curious how it will hold up the colder it gets.
