Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

Mine wasn't the controller. We changed it. But it didn't fix the problem. It was just a bad wire from the controller to the display.

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

I have had a couple similar problems with the power cutting out on my Neo Race and Neo Carbon. The first time it turned out to be the battery itself. I had a computer repair guy re-solder some wires and voila, it worked. My Neo-Carbon started cutting out intermittently. After a few hours of...

Very bad head shake or shimmy

One of my criteria for buying a new bike was, no shimmy with my hands off. My Neo-Carbon had very bad shimmy with hands off. I tried putting on a carbon fork from my Neo-Race (solid bike btw), still shimmied. Tightening the headset, removing weight from the rack, nothing solved the shimmy...

So how old is that "Banana"

I'm curious to know if they are still building the banana batteries. Or if they're just using old stock. Anyone know?

Nitro City as a commuter bike

I have two Nitro batteries. Yes, my panniers will hold a second battery. Rob

em street display not accurate for mileage?

That is less than a 5% difference. You can measure the tire from top to bottom to make sure the tire diameter is actually the size it says it is. I think the Easy Motion Bikes only use .5 inch increments on the tire settings. Sounds like you need to increase the size of the tire in the settings...

Nitro City as a commuter bike

Hey Ravi. The Nitro Cross is working out great. I'm getting just enough range (around 20 miles) to get to work and back using standard mode. Using Sport or Boost mode absolutely kills the range. Boost is around 13 miles. Still a nice bike and happy with my purchase.

    Spare Battery Carrier

I bought a pannier for my rack that fits an extra battery in it.

Nitro 48v battery on Neo 36v bikes.

I don't have a Nitro controller. So really I'm just guessing that a nitro controller would make the 48V battery experience better. If I were to keep my Neo Carbon and continue using the 48 V battery, I would get the controller. I'm hoping it doesn't have the same shimmy issues as the Neo...

Nitro 48v battery on Neo 36v bikes.

Might I suggest a Nitro controller as well. There will be a larger step down between assist levels. And the display will show the true battery percentage.

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

Be careful. I had a laptop repair guy fix mine. I didnt attempt to fix the battery myself. My battery has been working flawlessly so far, after he fixed it. Rob

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

If you open up the battery, I think you will find that one or more of the small wires connecting the BMS are broken. I had a laptop repair guy fix my Neo Race battery. The individual cells are probably perfectly fine.

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

I had this problem with my Neo Race. Did you try using a different battery? My problem turned out to be an internal wire in the battery.

Has anyone had to replace their motor?

My Neo Carbon didn't need a new motor. (Although I did replace the motor on my Neo Race) I happened to be using my Neo race battery on my Neo Carbon at the time. It turns out the Neo Race battery had a broken wire inside. This was causing the surging, grinding thing. Eventually the battery...

Has anyone had to replace their motor?

I have a Neo Race which had exposed hub motor wiring due to a crash. (Keep your wiring spring and rubber cover in place next time!) I had the dealer replace the whole core of the motor. The part was $300, labor $100. If you have the hub motor tool it only takes 10 minutes to change it out. The...

    Looking at 2010 A2B

There is a new A2B internal battery on Ebay for $549.00. I think that is a very fair price for a new LiIon battery.

    Looking at 2010 A2B

I just bought an old rental A2B Metro from THEGARAGEOTR in Cincinnati. They have 2 more they're selling cheap. I might just buy another one for parts. The Metro is a 36 Volt 500 watt motor. I was thinking if I get an old dead Velociti battery and rebuild it to 48 volts, I can cruise around 25...

Nitro 48v battery on Neo 36v bikes.

Maybe the Carbon frame is just too flexible for an electric bike. Probably a reason they quit making them. If I were buying a new speed pedelec, the Juiced Bike at $1500 is a good value.

Nitro 48v battery on Neo 36v bikes.

I considered getting a Nitro controller. But I'm not completely happy with my Neo Carbon. It's not stable at all. Impossible to ride hands off without shimmying like crazy. I've got a Neo Race that is rock solid. So I'd actually like to keep my battery and get a Nitro City. But the price isn't...
