    Is 750W too much?

Hi Judson, maybe this helps you to figure out how much Ah you want your battery to have: https://www.electricbike.com/watt-hours/ http://www.electric-bicycle-guide.com/electric-bicycle-calculators.html

Hi RoyL, No big deal actually. You would only need a chain tensioner.

Hey RoyL, how do you step down the voltage to supply your lights off the 48V battery?

    Is 750W too much?

Hi RoyL, Yep, I run a NiVinci 360. Pricey? What ain't? Got mine for about US$ 350,- all in all on Amazon and other online dealers. A steal compared with a Rohloff IGH (I'll get 3 NuVincis for one). I haven't really run up any substantial milage yet (200 km only so far), ask Spotty Dog how...

    Faulty Logic?

Hi Tinasdude, disagree with Ravi here. Changing wheel size should do the trick (if you want to ramp up max speed). The speed sensor measures the RPM... multiplied by factor wheel size! (Don't ask me for the exact equation pls) But why bother? There are enough settings (3-9) available and 25...

Asked him on Amazon whether he can back up his claim with any pics. Let's see whether there will be any forthcoming... He might have tinkered himself, who knows?

    Is 750W too much?

Hi Judson, I have recently built a bike with the BaFang 750W and a frame-mounted 10Ah battery. The BaFang 750W has got plenty of torque. Speed is easily set on the display with 3, 5, 7 or 9 steps, your choice. The motor will accelerate you to target speed and then wait if you can either...

Hi Spotty, I've ramped up to 5 levels which is OK for me. The BBS02 - NuVinci are really a match made in heaven :) I had to shave about 1-2 mm of the lateral inner diameter of the chainglider to fit it on the 42T chainwheel. No chuffing noise it really just glides so far. Might be different...

Yippie! The bike is ready and rolling! Sat 27.6.15 Yesterday the 40-42mm hook-wrench to fasten the locknut of the motoraxle to the BB finally arrived and with it an alcedoitalia 42T chainwheel, a somewhat fitting chainglider and a USB programming cable. So I mounted and connected the battery...
