    Ride Control Firmware

Went for a ride to test my bike after stupidly updating the firmware with the Speedbox 2 installed... Now I can't figure out how to enable the Speedbox as previously it was just pressing the walk assist button to toggle it on and off. Have messaged the Speedbox team to ask, will post here with...

    Ride Control Firmware

I tried it, needed to take the battery off and put in back on. It updated the firmware but now when I press the walk assist button to switch the Speedbox 2 on/off the speed display doesn't change from 25 to 99 like previously. There's a new bar graph-like thing in the middle of the display...

    Ride Control Firmware

Has anyone tried the firmware update with a Speedbox 2 fitted?

    Quick-E+

Clearance maybe an issue with the Super Moto X. Perhaps more at the rear. Would be worth a wander down to Dyson and see if you can find one on a bike there and measure the profile at the widest point. Rim width will affect the measurement but it should give you some idea.

Where to get the stuff required to fit the suspension forks... Those forks can be purchased here: https://www.levelninesports.com/manitou-marvel-pro-27-5-fork-1 Or look for them on eBay if outside USA, it's the same seller (Level 9/Bikewagon). Not many suitable good forks around so might be...

Need advice on adding front shock to Quick E+

See the Quick-E+ thread, have just fitted a suspension fork to mine, after fitting a Suntour suspension seat post. Can be done, but it's a little fiddly and the list of suitable forks is a short one.

    Quick-E+

Suspension forks fitted! Need to head to bike shop to get a couple of small things to finish it off. Has turned out better than expected. The forks are Manitou Marvel Pro 80mm travel XC racing forks. Tapered steerer about 5mm shorter than the stock steerer. Air shock with remote lockout, 32mm...

    Quick-E+

Feel like I'm spamming the thread a bit! A few updates for my ongoing Quick-E+ project :D The Speedbox 2 was returned under warranty, waiting for a replacement to arrive now. Sounds like it didn't work properly from the start, hoping the replacement works fine. I purchased a Suntour SP12-NCX...

    Quick-E+

Hi @Alan111S would you be able to take a screenshot from Ride Control showing your software version? My firmware was supposedly updated during a recent dealer visit but in Ride Control the software version for the bike still starts with 2018... Edit: seems a previous post of yours explains...

    Quick-E+

Did some work on the bike today and removed the Speedbox 2. I think I found the problem with my speed sensor and the assistance deciding to stop working the other day!

    Quick-E+

Interesting! Will be curious to hear how you go with it. I use carbon bars and seatpost on my also carbon road bike. Makes a big difference to ride comfort.

    Quick-E+

I had a look at my bike, 'Overdrive' is their name for a 1 1/2" to 1 1/8" tapered headset, so that's all good...phew. I also have a Giant MTB with an Overdrive 2 headset, that one is a pain and what I was thinking of when I made that comment. Quick-E+ 2019 -...

    Quick-E+

My bike is showing errors on motor, battery and screen when scanned with the Giant phone app. So to be safe I'm taking the Speedbox 2 out for its dealer visit.

    Quick-E+

Just found the forum again after months away. I've had my 2019 Quick-E+ for almost a year now, unfortunately not riding the last few months as I'm trying to avoid back surgery! Finally got back on yesterday, reminded me I need to sort some stuff out with it, great to read of firmware updates...

    Quick-E+

Haven't posted for a little while. Now have a 48t chainring and chain guard, works well although a longer chain might be a good idea too. But, the Speedbox2 maybe causing me some issues. Could be my install, will be removing it to check today. Have a speed sensor error being reported and when...

    Quick-E+

I'll update once I've investigated further. Had the spanner come back again and managed to catch the alert saying speed sensor error. Hopefully just a loose connection.

    Quick-E+

I'm hoping it's a loose connection. Will take my time having a look at it. Still on the fence about going to the dealer, think I'll remove the Speedbox2 and try my luck. The only stat messed up on mine with the Speedbox2 fitted is average speed, everything else appears to be OK. What version...

Shimano SPD pedals & cleats questions??

No idea what the H20's are. I'd leave them on the shelf. SH-51 are single release cleats, SH-56 are multi release. Many prefer the 56 for commuting/city due to how easy they are to unclip. But that also means sometimes you can unclip inadvertently when you don't want to.
