    GIANT RideControl App 2.0

Hello, I have a 2019 QUick-e I tried the new app and the error it gives me is an "unknown MCU." I have not modified it but I did try to update the firmware with the old app. Anyone else have this trouble?

Giant e bike app- any experience with it?

When the app first came out, I did the firmware updates with the app. Giant took out that functionality as it was bricking 2018 models if I recall. I suppose I got lucky. Take the bike to the store where you got it and they should be able to do a firmware update for you.

    Quick-E+

I like the 28MPH limit - this bike goes pretty fast! I personally like the Schwalbe tires, but I do take it on trails. However, It does well on roads as well. Enjoy!

    Quick-E+

From what I heard from my LBS guy is that the 2019 QuickE+ has components that are more suited to being an eBike than the 2018. I like mine and it does hills very well.

I am happy with this Macally aluminum holder. All metal. In addition, I got these rubber ones as an extra measure to prevent any mishaps due to bumps etc although I don't think I would need it in most cases. https://www.amazon.com/Macally-Aluminum-Handlebar-Smartphone-BIKEMOUNT/dp/B072R3RMJK...

Giant e bike app- any experience with it?

My first impression is that my 2019 Quick E+ is more responsive and peppier up hills. It seems to use less torque and goes a little faster - especially up the hills. Also, it seems like getting up to speed is easier as well. It's pretty easy to get to 28mph. I was out of town for a week and did...

Giant e bike app- any experience with it?

I updated and tested to make sure it worked but I did not do a long bike ride. I went out of town for over a week and hope to do a longer ride tomorrow. I did not change any settings though. With 5 levels of assist, it seems like they did a good job with setting initial levels. I'll report if...

Giant e bike app- any experience with it?

There is a serious lack of documentation..... As the website says, 2019 bikes can connect.

Giant e bike app- any experience with it?

Looks like Ridelink app came out... I'm going to see how it works........ UPDATE: It connected and I updated my firmware on my Quick E+ 2019. I can even tune my ride settings for the amount of assistance if I wish. After updating, restart your EVO as it gives an error. You can even scan for...

Giant e bike app- any experience with it?

I tried it out today. Bluetooth problems—says I need service once the bluetooth is dropped. Perhaps my bike needs a firmware update.

    Quick-E+

On my Quick E+, I find I can smoothly change gears. However, as I still get used to it, I do find that sometimes I am not in sync with the motor and when I change gears, the chain wants to move faster-like having your foot on the clutch and gas of a car at the same time. This is not happening...

Increase the Speed - Giant Quick E questions

There was a definite grin! This bike is very nice with lots of power. And you can get a good workout as well. I found that normal and Eco+ can get me around very quickly. On the big hill, I put it in Sport+ and climbed it quickly. I'm definitely loving it now. Sadly, my battery does go down...
