I can't speak for either the Raleigh or the Giant, although they look like decent bikes, but having owned the Trek since Mid December, I can tell you that the Allant+ 8S is a very well built and designed bike. The Bosch e-bike system is a combination of a good motor driven by well thought out...
Yes, in the fitness section it shows watts and cadence - listed as "rpm". I haven't pulled that up while riding, and didn't even know it was there until I just looked for it.
Hi Rob NJ. I don't see that setting anywhere in the app. Perhaps it's available in the diagnostic software that the dealers have?
That's where they were able to turn on the ability to turn on/off the lights by holding down the + button.
Hi Chris. The bike came with a micro-USB to lightning cable, and I plugged it in once. It didn't seem to charge the phone, but it doesn't matter to me. As long as I start with a charged phone, the phone would last longer than me or the Bosch 625Wh battery.
The SmartphoneHub came on the Allant+ 8S that I was lucky enough to find through a local Trek dealer during the Black Friday sale. I like it. It does not support wireless charging. I have an iPhone 8, and if fully charged, the phone has ~60-70 percent remaining after a brisk 1.5 hour ride, so I...
I like the looks of the new Allant+ 8S better than the older Super Commuter, and I'm fine with the color choices. At first I wanted the matte metallic gunmetal, and then the rage red. In the end I went with the matte metallic gunmetal because that was available, and I didn't want to wait until...
I picked up the Allant+ 8S (Matte Metallic Gunmetal) last Friday as part of the Trek Black Friday sale. I've only got about 100 miles on it at this point, but so far it's very impressive and quite fun to ride.
You're right. I just weighed it, and with the battery it is about 50.4 lbs., which includes the things I've added. By the way, I am still loving this bike. I ride just about every day, and everything is still working great. It's a blast to ride.
Karmic Koben S Review
A little bit about me
I’ve been a regular recreational/fitness cyclist for about 50 years. I didn’t get my drivers license until age 18, preferring to ride my bicycle everywhere I needed to go. When I was younger I did ride 3 century rides, but most of my riding in the...
I got my Koben S shortly after Christmas, and have really been enjoying it. It's both the most comfortable and most fun bicycle I've ever owned. I plan to write a review in this section, but in the meantime, here is a picture.
