Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Thanks. I'll give it a try the next time I remove the battery from the bike.

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I haven't tried that yet, but it could help. The connector on the bike is already in a housing that floats to some degree. Also, I haven't been able to find a tool that fits. There isn't enough clearance to use a regular socket in a socket wrench (the socket wall is too thick). Any suggestions...

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Thanks for the zip tie suggestion. I should have thought of that. I found that if I zip tie as tightly as possible and then give the battery a sharp rap on the right side of the battery it seems to make good contact. As a short term solution its fine but I'd hate to need to do it on a continuing...

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Tora Harris said: We notice some users have some difficulty with the battery install and some intermittent power over bumps. We have had a little bit of time to understand the issue. Here is why there are some tight fitting battery packs. The down tube of the frames are extruded like pasta then...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

For those of you who may want some idea of how well the 17.4 battery wears: after almost 2200 miles under battery power (and almost another 400 miles under muscle only power) at the six months mark, my battery registers about one tenth of a volt down (due to the accuracy of the display I expect...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

Three different multimeters measure my battery at between 54.3 & 54.7. The display on the bike shows 53.7. I'd consider augmenting with the Cycle Analyst if they'd modernize the display. I know I may be being ridiculously picky, but the display's text is so blocky that it looks like it was made...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

So is it that my expectations are too high or that Thomas' are too low? Anybody else out there who can help us with this?

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

I'm not expecting precision, just at least the accuracy of a $20 multimeter, or provide some way of adjusting. They provided other ways of adjusting (like the cutoff(?) voltage), why not a way of adjusting the current voltage of the battery considering I doubt if my display is the only one that...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

Thanks for your input. It looks like my problem is that the display reading is highly inaccurate.

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

I can't believe I overlooked such a minor point:oops:. Thanks. By the way, after my ride today I only charged it to 80% (51.5V on the Satiator) and it now shows 51.7V on the multimeter whereas on my display on the bike it will show 50.8V. So as I suspected it is most likely the display that is...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

I used my magnifier and found the polarity markings. Thanks. Unfortunately, when I measured with my multimeter I only got 0.9DCV. If I measured the way you posted before your latest edit would I be more likely to get a better reading?

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

I don't really know or know how to find out if the BMS has a balance function. Neither the display nor the chargers give any indication that they do and so far as I know Juiced hasn't indicated. But it seems that it would be a major overlook if the BMS didn't include a balance function. I...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

I received my HF1000 precisely 20 weeks ago and have put on just over 1800 miles. All issues with the bike have been relatively minor. The only replacement so far has been the chain at about 1600 miles. I should have replaced it about 100 miles earlier but the symptoms I was noticing were not...

HyperFat Accessories, Add-ons, Changes and Feedback

Just reached 1146 miles and had to replace the brake pads and one cable for the Shimano brakes. Should have had it done at least 50 miles ago. Could have avoided a rather painful crash and at least a couple near misses. Surprisingly, during the crash the handlebars and front wheel were rotated...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

I haven't had the issue of cutting power, but your second issue is something I have occasionally experienced. It has been difficult to nail down just when or why it happens. I have observed that it does not seem to happen in ECO and since I spend most of my time in ECO I have not been overly...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

Just wanted to give a quick 999 mile update to my experience with my modified HF1000. Overall, I am satisfied with its performance. In Seattle winter weather it has performed well. I have only had to lay it down once in the snowy slush due to loss of traction on my street tires (Origin8...

HyperFat Accessories, Add-ons, Changes and Feedback

I just got mine a few trips back (we rarely have snow here in the Greater Seattle area). They do appear to roll and turn significantly easier. They do tend to pick up very small rocks that tend to make noise for a while unless you pick them out, however. Other than that they are very quiet.
