    Racktime Panniers

I think I missed your earlier question in March - my bad. In any case I think you will be happy with your choice. I can fit a lot of groceries in a similar setup.

    2020 or 2019 Turbo Vado 5

I’ve had this Vado 5.0 for a couple of years. Specialized said they would have the patch to fix the Mission Control connectivity out in a couple of months. I heard that for two years. I wouldn’t recommend buying an older version and expecting future Mission Control functionality. On the...

    Racktime Panniers

I bought the Vida panniers which are none too big. I would probably get the larger pannier if I were to do it over. I recently included the Talis trunk (larger size) to increase capacity. I ordered that from the link E Wheels recommended, see above. Good luck!

My Life with a Vado 5.0; I Want Out

Fortunately, the very last thing I think about when I'm riding the Vado are the issues mentioned in this thread. Riding this bike makes me feel like a kid again with the wind in my face and not a care in the world! On the other hand, the field is far too competitive to treat consumers the way...

    Racktime Panniers

Check out the Racktime panniers on this Vado 5. I'm in the process of ordering a Racktime trunk that is an add-on the panniers. Racktime has many other accessories compatible with their racks, but finding a dealer was a challenge. It took some digging, but I was finally able to locate them...

My Life with a Vado 5.0; I Want Out

As much as I love to ride this bike I regret not buying the Trek 8S. I haven't had any mechanical issues, but the mission control fiasco is just ridiculous. I lost faith in Specialized and my LBS over this and won't be doing business with either in the future.

    Vado 5 battery life

You might try unplugging after about two or three hours and see if it is in the high 90's. And of course the firmware update previously mentioned. Haven't been on any lengthy rides in cold weather yet...

    Vado 5 battery life

Agreed, the bike is so fun to ride. I truly forget the "bleeding edge" issues that always seem to accompany a new model when I'm out running an errand on it. I haven't experienced the problems you have yet, but it's nice to have a plan if I do - thanks for posting. BTW, did you have your...

    Vado 5 battery life

Only once has the bike "died" or lost power - however you want to say it and it resumed normal operation shortly afterward. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take note of what the TFT was displaying at the time. Other than that one occurrence everything has worked fairly well.

    Vado 5 battery life

My LBS has requested I come in for a firmware update for the battery. Not sure what this is intended to address on the battery, but it most certainly would be a starting place for your issue. Good Luck!

    Vado 5 battery life

Well, I believe I spoke too soon. I ran an errand this morning and as per usual for the last three weeks battery was at 91%. I rode it down to 50% and plugged it in to charge when I got home. About 3 hours later I ran another errand and the battery charge registered 99%!! Could the battery...

    Vado 5 battery life

I hope you're right - I guess I'm so used to my handheld devices fully charging I was expecting the same for the bike...

    Vado 5 battery life

Hopefully it will continue to charge up to that amount - keep me posted if you see it drop. I love being able to leave the car at home for trivial errands, trips to the grocery, doctor and dentist appointments, etc!! And it does flatten the hills without a whimper - even loaded down with...

    Vado 5 battery life

I couldn't be more pleased with the Vado 5.0. I purchased the bike July 2017 and use it whenever possible. No complaints regarding its intended use and performance. I have noticed, however, the battery only charges to 91% - this after only two and one half months of use. Is this normal?
