    Turbo Vado 3.0 - Confirmed 28mph

So far so good. Grinding feeling is mostly gone, although shifting into smallest gear occasionally still slips/doesn't catch.

    Turbo Vado 3.0 - Confirmed 28mph

That is really good to hear -- I just had to take it in this weekend because the problem got so bad I was afraid I'd get stranded somewhere. The shop changed out the cassette today. After I ride it for a while I'll report back here.

    Turbo Vado 3.0 - Confirmed 28mph

I had that exact thing happen to me once so far: I was pedaling and then it just went into "neutral," I don't know how else to explain it. Like some kind of clutch mechanism skipped or something. I've had the chain skip or clunk when in the highest gear. It also happened to my wife's 3.0 and...

    Turbo Como

I'd like to know, too. Would love to get a 4.0 here stateside. Also, the description on their website says the 3.0 comes with a light and fenders but the product photo(s) don't show any fenders.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I just noticed that. And I saw a NuVinci logo in there as well!

    The new turbo Vado 2017

My wife's bike was similar: starting in kph. A firmware update did not decrease the maximum speed from 26(-ish), but it did remember which speed unit it used (mph). Hers starts in sport mode with the lights on. I wonder if that's a setting somewhere in the firmware? Specialized, if you're...

Vado 3.0 mysterious mechanical clunking problem

We'll keep an eye on ours. For now it seems okay but as my wife puts more miles on it she may notice some things. I'll definitely have them get in touch.

Vado 3.0 mysterious mechanical clunking problem

No way! I live in Superior! We got my wife's bike at BikeSource down on Colorado Blvd.

Vado 3.0 mysterious mechanical clunking problem

Okay, I just went for a 9 mile ride and it didn't seem related to the chainring or the cassette. I couldn't reliably reproduce the issue under a particular set of conditions. I did notice it clunking occasionally when the motor engaged, but it didn't seem related to which gear I was in. It also...

Vado 3.0 mysterious mechanical clunking problem

I've noticed something similar when riding my wife's Vado 3.0. It only happens in the highest gear (10th) and maximum assist, and I have to be pushing quite a bit. The bike shop installed a new rear cassette and it appears to have gotten better, but I will take it out for a more extended test...

Nuvuci harmony with advanced controller not shifting

I know this thread is a bit old, but I'm wondering what the resolution was on this? I had the same problem start on mine today. Only my servo decided to quit working in a high gear (ratio, really) so it was almost impossible to get moving from a stop. Also, I did a firmware update on mine and...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

That bag is great, but I'm talking about the rack that supports it, which the 2.0 does not come with. It looks like Specialized is making it difficult for standard aftermarket racks to fit.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I agree, but the 2.0 doesn't come with fenders or the rack.

    Tempo Carmel First Ride

To clarify: the Tempo Carmel doesn't have H|Sync, but rather a separate basic 3-button controller for the NuVinci with 3 different cadence presets. It feels really cool, though. It's basically slow, medium, and fast, and the change is nearly instantaneous.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Anybody have success in fitting an aftermarket rack onto the Vado? I'm not sure what kind of hardware I'd need with the rack bosses being on the bottom of the tube instead of the outside.

Nuvinci sourcing and installing in the Bay Area?

I ended up buying a Tempo Carmel, I posted a few words on it.

    Tempo Carmel First Ride

Update: I've posted pictures and updated the review here. I had test ridden and researched quite a few ebikes lately in search for a bike that had most (if not all) of the following specs (much like scrambler's thread): mid-drive, class 1 traditional high-step frame for extra stability upright...

Nuvinci sourcing and installing in the Bay Area?

Hrm, I don't know about the first one, but you use the + and - buttons on the handle bar just like when setting cadence. I'm pretty sure you could do it while riding, but the next time I test ride one I'll test it out for sure and see how easy it is to toggle between modes and to switch virtual...

Nuvinci sourcing and installing in the Bay Area?

We stumbled on the H|Sync "manual mode" when testing the Verza. Press and hold the "i" button when setting the cadence and it changes to a simulated gearing system. I didn't see how high it went. Granted, it's not the same as the H8 controller, but at least you get to select a manual "virtual...
