Considering a Specialized, got a few questions

Get the Vado SL. 4.0 or 5.0. I am 6’3” weigh 195 and I own a Vado Sl 4.0. its rigid and shakes compared to a carbon frame, but put a red shift stem on it, and it’s pretty smooth.

    specialized creo 2

I put Pathfinder Pro 700x38 tires on my Creo2 today. I ride mostly on road surfaces. Quieter ride. Of course it was a bear to get the old and new tires off and on since the bead is pretty stiff.

Today was supposed to be new Creo announcement day!

I picked up my Creo 2 comp today. I went on a short, relatively flat 10-mile ride today. It’s hot in California today, so it was a short ride. For a comparison of first impressions, I have been riding a Turbo Vado SL 4.0 for the past 3.5 years. My first impressions are that the 1.2 motor is much...

Today was supposed to be new Creo announcement day!

online at the specialized website. Delivery to LBS. LBS only had 1 in stock, and no more in their order queue. They recommended buying the one in the store since it was my size, or order online quickly since the inventory is low.

Today was supposed to be new Creo announcement day!

I bought my Creo 2 Comp today. It should arrive at the LBS in 10 days. I currently have a Vado SL 4.0, and love it. The ride can be pretty stiff so I am looking forward to the carbon frame and future shock. I think the Creo 2 looks pretty cool, so that is exciting.

TCU problem - settings not saved

Update. I took the bike to the LBS. I learned 2 things, but not sure which was the root cause 1. The LBS didn’t have the replacement TCU properly installed. When they put the bike on the machine to troubleshoot it indicated it found new components. So he reinstalled the TCU, and reflashed...

TCU problem - settings not saved

I have a Turbo Vado SL 4.0. If I use the Mission Control application with the bike, none of the settings are saved. For example, if you change the tuning settings, units of measures, etc they are not saved between rides. The tuning settings says “profile saved” when you update it, but the...

New 2021 Bulls E Stream Evo's for us.

Specialized Vado Turbo vs Riese & Muller Roadster (vs?)?

I have 2 bikes. A Vado SL for exercise, gravel trails, and road riding. But I have a Bulls LACUBA EVO E45 for commuting and running errands. The Bulls is like driving a SUV — smooth over the bumps/holes, very quick acceleration, and it’s easy to go very fast (30 mph). The Vado SL is great...

    Tektro pads F10BS

After some research on Tektro pads for HD-R290 calipers I learned a couple of pointers - the recommended A10.11 and E10.11 don’t fit (too big) - its hard to find F10BS pads. But you can order https://trpcycling.com/?s=flat+mount+pad

    Bike Insurance

$1400 with zero deductible for 2 bikes sounds about right. But you should change the deductible and get a much lower rate

    Specialized’s ultra-light 120-mile range e-bike - Turbo Vado SL

I bought a 4.0 model this weekend. I am planning on using it for active fitness rides. The assist level should be perfect for that. For comparison, I have Bulls lacuba evo e45 that I use for commuting which has lots of torque and is great for speed and hills and traffic. I will share my...

Known Issues & Problems with BULLS Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

@Ravi -- I watched a few videos, and read the manual. I adjusted the derailleur today, and lubricated the chain. After several tries and tweaks I think I finally got it adjusted right. Now it rides smooth without skipping when there is lots of torque or going fast. Thanks for the advice

Known Issues & Problems with BULLS Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I have a Bulls lacuna evo e45. Its new, but I am having problems with the chain slipping between gears when going faster than 20 mph on the smaller rear sprockets. I think I have eliminated the motor since it happens when its on any level (0-3) of assist. I have tried adjusting the rear...
