I think all of the mid-drive motors have internal controllers that are not throttle plug and play. Bafang is the huge exception. You would need to disassembly the motor and remove the PCB, then modify some solder points and add new points to the existing board, then you would need to hard wire...

My guess is the conservative motor regime is all part of the design to make sure the belt will have the same reliability as hard gears.
