Converting thumb throttle to twist throttle

Yes, to be clear, I was kind of switching the subject and asking about changing FROM twist throttle TO thumb throttle.

Converting thumb throttle to twist throttle

How much work would it be to convert a twist throttle to a thumb throttle? Could any bike shop that works on ebikes do it?

    Should it be more lock-able?

Yes, I agree that needing a key to start would be a good idea. Maybe next year's model! The power switch definitely does help. I'm thinking of an alarm instead of a tracker. I also live in a very safe area/small town and don't really expect it to ever be out of my sight for any length of time in...

    Should it be more lock-able?

I was just reading a review here of another bike and one of the negatives was that anyone (if they knew how) could power up the bike while it's on a rack and use the throttle to spin the wheel (wheels?) and perhaps do some damage. Made me think it would be nice if there was a lockout of some...

Known Issues & Problems with Pedego Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Thanks, I did and they said just bring it in, so I'm hoping that means they have everything they think they will need in stock. But I'll call again before I take it in to be sure. Thanks for the suggestion.

Do you get more exercise riding an electric bike?

I live on a hill and wouldn't bicycle at all if I didn't have an e-bike. So definitely more exercise!

Known Issues & Problems with Pedego Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

What exact problem are you having? To reset trip meter (on my Interceptor anyway), press and hold Set to get into settings, then press Set to cycle through options. I think trip meter is first, but anyway, when you get there, press minus to reset it. Then press and hold Set to exit. hth

Known Issues & Problems with Pedego Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

My front light stopped working a few days after I brought my Interceptor home. Dealer is an hour away so I will take it down there when I'm on my way somewhere else (San Francisco area).

    Tickets when using bike rack

How do you secure your bike in a basket like this? I'm trying to envision it but am not succeeding. Thanks!

    Walking your bike

Wow, now that is really interesting. Various manuals I have seen don't mention that, or say holding Down for several seconds does something else. How did you discover that? What year is your wife's bike? I can't wait to try that!

    Slime?

Are Pedego tires pre-slimed? I'm not even 100% sure what that means as I haven't done a whole ton of research, but it sounds like a treatment that auto-seals tiny holes in the tire. Has anyone used slime? Does it work? Thanks -- Barbara

    Walking your bike

Did you have to kind of scamper alongside? That was my issue. I couldn't get it to go as slowly as I wanted.

    Back-heavy Interceptor?

Haha thanks! I don't plan to be ever be super-aggressive, so it sounds like I'll be in good shape. Cute dog!

    Back-heavy Interceptor?

Has anyone used their Interceptor to haul a bunch of gear, like a couple grocery bags full of stuff? I haven't gotten mine yet, but during my test ride it just seemed so back-heavy that I felt like if I put a bunch more weight on there, it would fall over backwards! Am I just being ridiculous...

    Walking your bike

Oh, right. Yes I know that's a good thing. Just pushing and releasing the throttle will have to suffice, I guess, and I'll just stumble alongside.

    Walking your bike

Do you mean use the throttle and the brake simultaneously while walking, to control the speed? Yeah, I guess that would work, with some coordination. The other bike I tested didn't have a special slow mode, it just had a much less sensitive (or more sensitive?) throttle controller. Anyway, it...

    Walking your bike

I just ordered an Interceptor yesterday even though I had one concern, and I am wondering if it is something that might just be due to how the demo was adjusted or tuned. On another bike I tested, I could give the throttle just a tiny amount of force, enough to help me slowly walk the bike from...

    Loving my Pedego Interceptor

Just ordered mine today and hope to start loving it next week!

Small frame, 24" wheels, throttle available at a stop when PAS is off

Well I decided I really didn't want 20" wheels because I mostly plan to cruise for distances, so I broke down and got the Pedego 24" Step-Through Interceptor after a test ride today. I say I "broke down" because I don't like that the battery and motor are on the back, which makes it back-heavy...
