    mid drive w/ throttle ?

Lots of good comments on all sides of the debate. I like to ride the Greenway near my house where there are multiple "switchbacks", all very hilly and with very tight turns to get on and off. Without a throttle that can be used at slow speeds, I would have to walk my 55# bike up and down these...

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

I don't use the throttle much on my Emotion Evo City. If I were 20 years younger, I wouldn't even consider a throttle (or ebike) since I was doing century rides on my road bike. 10 years ago, I had to give up my road and mountain bikes, but got a new lease on riding with a recumbent. I still...

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

Still looking for a stealthy purpose built mid-drive with IGH and throttle that doesn't look like and Ebike. Bulls comes closest with the Evo with Gates belt but no throttle. Lots of us in our 60s need that boost to start a heavy bike while at a stop light in heavy traffic and the IGH to shift...

Hieko Müller is coming to Brooklyn

Please ask Heiko if there are plans to incorporate the Gates belt into the Rohloff Delite version. Seems like a natural. Thanks.

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

Yes Mark, and here there are many tight switch-backs on upslopes on the Greenways where it is difficult to make the acute angle turns and pedal at the same time. The throttle makes it easy, consistent and much safer, especially with approaching traffic (walkers or riders).

    Baby Boomer Feature Ebikes

I like your thinking. Good choice of bike. I also like to pedal also, but so many times starting form a dead stop I find that the throttle helps get me going faster and safer. I hope you'll keep the forum updated on you new purchase.

    Baby Boomer Feature Ebikes

Ok, I've been riding bikes (all types) all my life. Now that I'm in my late 60's, still with good riding legs and a bad back, I'm looking for a "feature rich" bike to ride into my dotage. I'm surprised the manufacturers haven't tapped this geezer market. We have great numbers and most of us are...

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

Chris, I'm sure you have suggestions for a proper pedal assist IGH bike to replace my Emotion City Wave with throttle. I gotten so used to it in traffic. The Wallerang looks intriguing with Shimano Steps IGH that automatically downshifts when you come to a stop. But I don't know how good that...

    Riese & Müller Delite review

Matt, you are my idol. I wish I had your courage. Sounds like you need a set of chains for your bike - ha.

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

I see a throttle as a safety feature for stop and go city traffic. So few bikes seem to offer throttles, especially the major bike companies. I'm hoping Bulls or Riese and Muller and others see the market for comfortable throttle, mid-drive, IGH ebikes for us baby boomers that still want to ride...

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

I'm longing for an ebike with mid-drive, throttle, and IGH, preferably a Nuvinci and a full suspension. I know it can be done.
