I just picked up a new 2018 Giant Dirt-E+ 1 Pro and am noticing that the left grip is integrated into the controls. Is there an easy way to replace or am I stuck with the factory grips?

Has anyone here fitted a rack to this bike? The rack that Giant sells indicates that it doesn't fit the pro model. I know it's a bit weird fitting a rear rack on a bike that came with a dropper seat post, but I got a good deal on the bike and will use it mostly for commuting.
