    Rumors, from the inside

I was talking to my local Specialized dealer about the Vado SL series. Some of the other lighter road/hybrid ebikes. He mentioned that there could be a new line-up coming from Specialized for the spring. I don't know if he truly knew something, or if he is guessing based on sale prices of...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I was at a local dealer today. I was talking about Mondraker and other flat bars. He mentioned Specialized might have some interesting stuff for 2027. Anyone have any additional info? He wouldn't let me know.

Sheesh. That Continental was terrible. Seeping all along the sidewall. Brought it back to the shop a few times. Finally returned and got a schwalbe gone R pro. @rochrunner what did you end up getting?

Welp. The county workers forgot to put up a warning sign over the bike path today. Jumped the front tire, but the hit on the back tire was enough to give me a pinch flat on my rear Thundero. So swapped it out with a Continental Terra Speed TR 45 e-25 edition. So I'm halfway to not having...

Yeah. I looked at manuals and took it apart. Couldn't figure it out. Just added a dab of glue

Anyone know if there is a way to tighten the front headlight on an SL 5.0 left-to-right? I believe it's the Lezyne Ebike Power STVZO E115. Mine moves a little bit. Is there a screw underneath the mountain bracket, once I remove the light from the go-pro type mount?

Also I got a Garmin Varia RVR315 last week. A local shop was doing 40% off. The mountinh bracket that it came with, was too low with my Kinekt seatpost. So I got a seat bracket. I was skeptical about the usefulness of the radar, but I've found it pretty helpful the last 3 times I rode...

I read about the Clik cores. I asked 4 different bike shops in my area and they said they were a gimmick. Maybe they just haven't used them. I've never had an issue with presta valves, but I was thinking about trying them.

So I got two stems. 90mm 14 degree Specialized Stealth Stem. This uses a 1 1/8” standard hole which works with my existing round shim for the future shock 1.5. This is the same one that comes on the XL version of the bike. It has the Garmin style bracket mount. Tried that a few rides...

Why are you giving up on tubeless?

Btw. I wouldn't recommend the Thunderos for loose gravel and sand but they have worked well for me on broken pavement and dirt roads. They are much better than my Pathfinders but worse than my Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR2. Picture for reference.

I've never had mine seep. I've been using them tubeless from the start. The only tires I had seep are some older WTB tires. Also, you don't want to bash them, but you are doing a good job of it :)

I really like my Tufo Thundero 44s. I don't really notice worse rolling resistance from my pathfinders. Definitely better on dirt roads.

Not my dealer. I had to tell them what I needed. Anyway. I ordered a 90mm stealth. If it's not enough maybe I'll go with a 110 6 degree generic and figure out how to make it work.

I was thinking about increasing the length of the stem on my Turbo Vado SL 5.0 medium. I have the future shock and mount for my GPS on the top of the handlebars. The original Specialized stem is 75mm 14 degree. I was thinking maybe a 100mm at 6 degree. I have a longer torso and shorter...

stompandgo's Pinarello Nytro E5 Allroad build thread

Was looking at the non-modified version of his bike at a local shop this week and wondered if it was the next bike for me after my Vado SL. Google search brought me here. Nice writeup and cool mods. Sorry about the cracks!
