Mine did it again yesterday. Seems it resets time to 00.00 when this happens too. I'm sure its a software bug but Spec don't really seem interested..... Shame, when you spend some 6k on a bike you do expect it to be fault-free !!

Since then only 1 random turn on. But I've had a motor fault (sadly didn't record the number) & yesterday during a ride the H3 displays locked up. Sorted by doing a full reset - but really shouldn't be necessary!! Time still often incorrect on H3 until connected to App.

Thanks for this. Short answer is I don't know. I will check with LBS but it might have been done when the H3 & the control switch were swapped out. But would this affect the time keeping of the H3 ??

I've just had most of the internal wiring changed by LBS. 3 days later the bike switched itself on again & time incorrect !! So as I've already had a new computer, the fault can only be with the the motor or battery or lights which seems very unlikely. Seems Spec need to get their finger out on...

I don't think the motor noise is the issue. The SL2 is a little quieter than the SL1 was (have owned both) but not hugely. They both "moan" when at full revs & when they're disengaging there's a similarly loud noise. Main thing is the thread was all about the SL2 Vado 6 turning itself on...

I think we're going off topic guys. The real issue is that the Vado SL2 6 (CF) is randomly switching itself on. THIS IS NOT NORMAl. The motor noise is another issue - maybe. Mine is much quieter than my previous SL4.

Its really strange, I bought mine around 16 months ago & until recently its been fine. Yours is new isn't it ? Obviously a software gremlin somewhere in a recent update.

No battery it runs off the bike one I assume. Odd though its 13.03 here now but clock on bike says 17.37.......so its some 19.5 hours out. Suggests that when it does switch on itself the clock stops but the display & lights are on..... Weird !! The clock is working Ok now but time still...

Spoke too soon ! This morning bike was lit up again ! Must have been on several hours because the battery had drained 7%. Didn't go near it yesterday..... Grrrrrrrr

Thanks Jeremy & AI.....! It may well be true but so far I've not had any issues. Don't wish to sound smug but a) I change phones every 2 years normally & they're always under guarantee for that period. Another reason to change the mount was because the PD motorbike one fits better on the Vado...

I use Peak Design mounts/cases. No requirement to leave space for twist on/off you simply click on & press a button to remove. Used their Out Front bike mount on my Vado SL4 for 3 years & 1year on my Vado SL2 6 (carbon). Iphones 13, 15 & now 17. Recently bought their motorbike mount with damping...

According to website its around 33kg. WTF ?!? Ridiculous weight. Impossible to lift onto car rack etc. or even manoeuver around garage....

Mine's turned on once since last report. LBS reported back to Spec - am awaiting further info...... After showing my Spec dealer this thread they ordered & fitted a new computer & cabling last week. Very helpful guys based in Sete France. All going well - so far !

Mine has just started doing the same thing ! Twice today & yes the clock is incorrect too...... Of course LBS is closed Mondays - Grrr

An App re-load has done the trick & without losing any data. Thanks All for suggestions. Happy Biking

I'd read that before posting ! This has happened for 2 days now so its not a glitch in GPS & anyway as I said Komoot tracking is fine.
