From what I've read and my discussions with Ravi @ Zen most eBike batteries don't balance and those that do use Passive Active is expensive to implement, bulky and better suited for much larger batteries.

Well I'd be skeptical of such a claim as I've never come across such a BMS with this feature and to have one custom made when purchasing such a low quantity I would think be expensive. I'd ask the supplier for BMS documentation and specifically if it uses passive or active balancing and at what...

I have 3 high end touch-screen t_stats I got for free or less than $20 from our delivery company. They're excellent and continued participation is not required. If you do want to participate, local override is easily done at the stat or with the app. ymmv

Well like I said a frame bag helps a lot with wire management. Mine is on my handlebars. And they're super cheap... Like $5 - $8 Controller is probably fine... I'd bet the cable is damaged, they're not the most robust.

With no speed sensor I'm surprised it didn't throw an error 21... typically shutting off assistance. Not sure what's going... post your settings

When I need to lube something temporarily... I use a little isopropyl alcohol. It's pretty slippery and then just evaporates.

I'm too anal.... I'd have to have the displays one just left and one just right of center. To keep things interesting.. I'd swap the throttles. So left throttle would be tied to the right display 🙃

This was my final setup.... But I pedal'd This gives you torque at all PAS, but speed was tempered by cadence. So PAS 1 had plenty of torque but at a very low speed.. Each PAS after that pretty much just increased the cadence before the motor would feather power

The most sensible would be to get a battery power wall and divert the over_volt extra current there for your own use and backup.

And if you plan on doing a lot of programming changes... get yourself a display Y cable and you won't have to keep unplugging things. I also trimmed the rubber off the programming cable and it's now super easy to plug/unplug
