Crunchy,slipping 750 hub- should I have the old one torn down and then have the new one laced in -or- since it’s exactly the same/should I open the case pull the failed guts out,and reload with the new guts? -it’s 1.5 years old and failed at 5K+ Bummer - what’s the best plan to get rolling...

I love bikes and support local- but if the lbs has a bad attitude about your EBike- go elsewhere,in this whacked and rapidly changing economy- if the lbs doesn’t embrace ebikes frankly they have lost my business- Be like Gumby - Stay Flexible

I like that idea - if it could somehow electrocute the thief,that would be enjoyable! I have a cheap remote on/off hidden alarm - I’m still too paranoid to leave my bike vulnerable- but this thing would be very annoying and attract attention the second the bike was significantly jostled- Cheers

That’s great - it’s mind blowing how the EBike thing has absolutely exploded! 15 years ago when I bought a hub motor lithium batteries were crazy expensive and the lead acid really put a crimp in the range/weight situation- Enjoy your bike! Mirror! Lights! Helmet ! You know ! Be safe

I’m curious about the torque numbers - if you have 70 on a hub and 70 on a mid drive how would they describe the difference with the mechanical advantage of the gears? I hear anecdotes like this mid drive climbs like a mountain goat - but don’t know of a numerical way to compare the two ? Sorry...
