Washington State's new ebike laws just passed.

We just started day lights with the ebike, but have worn whatever was best for visibilty for over 60 years of riding. If in the hills or when we had the kids in a trailer we also add a flag on a 6' staff; actually 2 on the trailer.

Just like I learn from my brother's EV usage (which he loves), I've seen people get poked in the eye wit a stick and am confident I don't need to try it to see if I like it. Smart people observe and learn from others.

Hey, I apologize if I offended people with the "not real construction" comment. One of the downsides of conversations like this is the different directions they can go and people's definitions of terms. My background is in the earthmoving phase of construction projects, so once the gravel is...

?? Don't know what I said that was wrong or misleading. I thought we were aligned until you mentioned pickups might be used for the same task, or be in an excavation area. If I get down to the area, I'll snap some pictures of pickups parked in the same road excavation site as rollers and...

Thank you Mr. Obvious. Fairly fluent in OSHA (and MSHA) and Forestry regulations. Used to carry all appropriate safety gear in my truck/Suburban even if on family vacation so I could get on any site (without family) at any time of day. My favorite sites were forestry; MSHA rules are...

I agree that is true for some. Hopefully they are smart enough to not play "keep up with the neighbors". Some probably have sufficient $ they don't think about if it makes financial sense and just "do it". It's unfortunate that is true for way to many people.

Why not say "no Chinese EVs" like I've read is possible?

I agree, let's get back to the EV "transition" dream. In 2028, who is more likely to support the "transition" dream Vance or Rubio?

I didn't spend much time in the clean stage of construction. More in early stages if building areas, more in road, pipeline, and forestry work. And yes, we bounced around in mud and ruts more often than not.

So you don't visit real construction sites, ok.

What makes a pickup a "fleet pickup"? I've always pictured "fleet" as a multi-vehicle purchase by one customer. Another local has (2) F150s and (2) F250s on the lot (or in transit to lot). After checking, if someone really wants a single cab, anyone can order, no "fleet" required. After...

It seems everything is based on "financial decision" to you. Sorry to see the $ thing is everything to some. Wow.

I know many that drive pickups; only 1 that drives a pickup for image. Badest ass pickup I've seen; he's a Navy SEAL. Which is not surprising since a Prius kinda sucks on muddy construction sites. You are so outta touch with reality. I just checked one local dealer. Pretty sure that is an 8'...

I have lived in 4 different "cities" over the last 50 years. The biggest was 68k. Currently in a city of 42k. Not a good comparison to LA, or Chicago. As far as "lifestyle" goes, there are many more trucks towing recrational and construction trailers in a typical city than Ag trailers in the...

Nice. I agree that is what Mr. C probably thinks. Would need to clarify what the "kid" he is referring to actually is. My definition of kid is not old enough to have the family/house responsibilities. In my area, I don't see F350s unless they are owned as work horses and tow regularly...

In an effort to get this back on topic, who is more likely to be EV friendly in 2028: Vance or Rubio?

Why is that hilarious? Do you actually hear a lot of discussions involving kids and toast? Venn Diagram: 1) people that drive F350 and tow boat twice a year. 2) people that talk about kids eating avocado toast. 3) those people in 2 that complain about it. Please, continue entertaining!
