    Cable actuated hydraulic caliper upgrade

My scale of bad brakes goes back to cheap side pull calipers on steel rims. About as bad as the disc brakes on that Hyper mid-drive I bought this summer. Quality rim brakes work very well, so do cable and hydraulic disc brakes. All depends on the components and setup. As far as the cable pull...

    Seat upgrade

Can't help you with the seat. Not a bicycle seat. I was going to add a layer of closed cell foam on top of my emoto's seat. That thing is so uncomfortable it's hard to sit on for any length of time, but fortunately, the bike has a limited range. So my time of pain is short.

    Cable actuated hydraulic caliper upgrade

There is something to be said for simplicity, and a cable pull hydraulic caliper seems to add complexity where, from my experience, it isn't needed. A decent cable pull caliper can work well. Though at $22 a pair those calipers the OP linked are tempting--if they work well. I use Shimano M375...

How many miles a year do you ride?

Ah, you're doing better than me on the training. I don't have any disabilities, outside of being old and broken. Ride to live, live to ride!

    Rambo Krusader 2.0. Front Shocks

That's odd. Are those spring forks, or air? Can you make a warranty claim? Or buy a replacement from them? The most challenging thing in fork replacement is spec'ing a replacement that fits, then it would be cutting the steerer tube to length. A front motor complicates the process. A lot of if...

    Show Us a Tool

We always called that model G automobile wrench a Ford wrench. One came in the model T Ford toolkit, or so I was told. In my opinion, they are a must have tool when working on a steamship.

    Aventon Aventure M

Aventon has maybe found a profitable market segment. With luck this bike will tic the boxes for many buyers, and they will make some money. Which seems to be a rarity nowadays for ebike companies.

How many miles a year do you ride?

I do maybe about 2k miles annually. I live in a small city and I'm 99% on two wheels for mechanized transportation. Most directions are soon water. As I ride several different ebikes, and not all of them have odometers, my actual mileage is an unknown.

    4 better then 3?

I would say an electric quadracycle would need some sort of permit to operate on the road to be "legal" in most states. Be it a NEV or personal mobility vehicle or something. That said, an old guy riding one at ebike legal speed would probably be overlooked.

At 4 wheels you are no longer considered an electric bicycle as trikes are.

The Unique New E-Bike With Rivian DNA

Back to the Rivian ebike. I would want to test ride one. And maybe buy one, but $3,500 as the base price is too steep for my taste. If it's a market failure, with luck, I might buy one at clearance. As such, this winter I'll be searching for a bargain priced Rad Wagon.

    Replacement controller

Most likely it won't cause a problem. Best if you buy a controller kit that has an included display. Displays tend to be specific to a particular controller (though some you can run without a display). Nice to get all the other bits to minimize the splices and soldering, and match the motor's...

    RAD Power Bikes Going Bust

Here's an article going around the web at the moment, Rad is prominently featured in it: How tariffs hit the brakes on America’s booming e-bike industry . I think most of us already know all of this, but I thought to just add it to this discussion.
