Buy another freehub body, or run without. I have no idea how to source those things.

    New Tariffs 2025 !

I cross, by ferry, Puget Sound shipping lanes weekly. Haven't seen a container ship go by in quite awhile, which is unusual. So, I would say imports are way down due to the tariff fiasco, and shortages will soon be an issue. But that's just from my local observation.

Title: My Experience with the Ori Electric Dirt Bike

If they put pedals on it we could even call it an ebike. ;)

If you got the money. Isn't the Rad a cargo bike? How many of those do you need.

getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

I'd ride the pedal bike for the joy of it, but I'd pull the groceries on the ebike.

New Jersey Would Be Foolish To Require E-Bike Insurance & Registration

I take offense to your statement. Some of the best ebikes are DIY (and maybe some of the worst too). As far as those cheap ebike minimotos, if the importation of hose are stopped within a couple of years we won't have a problem because they will have become garbage.

New Jersey Would Be Foolish To Require E-Bike Insurance & Registration

I'd feel lucky if I lived in New Jersey! Then those 3 mid-drive class 1 Hyper ebikes I bought from Walmart for $350 shipped might be worth something. They are gutless no-throttle bikes, and just what NJ is mandating.

Which bicycle companies have fast smart bike chargers?

The Grin Satiator is a very nice charger to have on hand. Though it costs about $300 IIRC.

Await the winter here at 48+ latitude. We had a late fall cooldown last week, now it's on to mid-spring!

    Winter Sucks

Meanwhile, on the West Coast, 48th parallel, I went on my first acoustic ride of the year: Cool and frosty this morning, but we haven't gone below freezing for the official low temp this season. Our snowpack suffers, as will we, unless we get our mountain snow.

I'm more inclined to pedal and sing. Started touring before the Walkman, so it's natural for me.

If you get too close to your personal VO2 max you will surely feel it. Stay below that. What I mean is you gotta feel your body and ride to that. All those doodads are just doodads, in the end it's how you feel.

Rad Power Bikes may close soon

Makes me an expert in cheap DTC bikes. I knew what I was getting into, and how to fix them. One advantage with an inexpensive ebike is no worries about locking up and going in the pub for a beer or two.

getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

Those dynamos sure seem cool to me, pricey though. Did see some for $130, the SON are $300+. I can lace a wheel, but buying the spokes adds even more price wise. My night rides are short so I'll stick to the LED rechargeable lights for the time being, but if I find one in a wheel, used, at a...

Rad Power Bikes may close soon

Those cheap DTC will get the klicks, but after that bike craps out some of those buyers will see the value in a quality machine. The others will give up, their ebikes rusting away to garbage.

Cargo Conversion from Analog to e-bike: How Much Low Gear to Give Up?

Personally, I wouldn't give up the lowest gear. I have short steep hills, and even with my mid-drive (bbs02) I still like a super low in my kit. And you never know when your motor will conk out.
