@Dima I haven't rebuilt anything in my drive unit or added/replaced the o-rings to help block water intrusion. I have about 22000 km on the bike with a fair bit of that in rainy conditions. It's a little noisier/rougher than it was on day 1, but still chugs along just fine.

It is a legal requirement here. The letter to employees was open, but bear in mind that it was crafted knowing that the legally required WARN notice is a matter of public record here and would be in the news by the end if the weekend.

I'll have to bike back by this one in the daylight sometime. The building has a salon and a dog friendly alehouse. The mural is confusing though. I think it is henry added over an existing mural?

It is but it looks like REI has upped the prices a lot - $1139 for a 500wh powertube(Before 20% coupon)! The times we live in ... got the same thing for $400 last year from REI. Ebikes508 and a few other small shops seem to still be selling powertubes at the old pre-tariff retail price at least.
