Looking For A Full Suspension Skinny Tire Step Through Commuter

There aren't many options for a step-thru, full suspension, rear hub, with road tires. I ended up getting this for my wife. She wanted a full step thru, but she is satisfied with the mid-step thru. https://www.frey.bike/products/savannah-ultra-cc She rode the Aventon Level, full step thru with...

    Took a tumble

They do make air-bag vests for motorcycles and for equestrians. They're pretty nice. I considered getting one at one time. They are triggered by a lanyard pull cord attached to your bike. After thinking about it I realized that I've never fallen "off" or been "pitched" from my bike. I've always...

    Aventure 2 hub motor maintenance

You can watch a multitude of Bafang motors being dissassembled on the web, there is no wire retention mechanism. They just slide through the assembly.

    Took a tumble

I agree wholeheartedly Stefan. I've taken some nasty spills, always kept my hands on the grips, feet on the pedals. The pedals and grips always took all of the force of the fall. Bent a few handlebars and cranks. I am sure I would have severly damaged my limbs in each fall had they not been...

Offshore ebike manufacturers to disappear in 2025

And good riddence. There have been too many purveyors of the same products with different branding, most of which were not committed to a dedicated service network, service manuals, and a well stocked parts inventory. That's a normal growth feature for the industry like this which exploded with...

Another Frey Savannah Ultra - CC owner

Easy peazy to grease the motor. I've opend my motor abour 4 times so far, still using the original gasket, but you should probably purcahse a new gasket just in case, it's paper. kinda flimsy.

    Aventure 2 hub motor maintenance

I believe that your motor is the Bafang G060: if not, tell us whch motor you have. Which side the cables come out really is not an issue. G060:

    Aventure 2 hub motor maintenance

Nah, just start disaassembling, and take pictures as you do. You'll be fine. The construction is pretty similar.

Trying to decide between Aventon Level 2 or Euphree City Robin +

True statment above. I purchased two Aventon Levels in 2020. Sold one, the other is going strong. Never an issue. Last I checked Aventon has 1,000+ dealer network. Barring financial mismanagement, Aventon should be around for a long time. I would stay away from any ebike seller (Euphree) that...

    Inner tube sealant

Tried Stan's and Slime. Stan's worked when I had a massive puncture at night. Running with Black Slime now as an expirament. Does not seal leaks reliably in the sidewall. Gets too thick, seals the leak intermittantly, on again off again with the same leak. Going back to Stan's, it stays more...

Headed to Rome, Italy next week, then a week in Amalfi Coast. Any eBike advice?

I will be in Rome from Oct 31 to Nov 8. Then Amalfi Coast (Furore) Nov 8-16. I am looking to rent an ebike while in Rome just for fun and touring the city. Same in Furore on the Amalfi Coast. Any tips, advice, what to see, what to avoid? From experienced travellers. I rented an eMTB in Lake...

need help on purchasing ebike asap

I agree. If you are relying on this bike to get to work, when it breaks down, it may take you a good while to get it up and running again. If I were a local bike store, I wouldn't work on it. If your budget is real tight, I recommend you buy a nationlly recognized and serviced name brand bike...
