Ebike touring recommendations 120 km a day range with a 150 kg (bike+ rider luggage) and 750-800 wh battery or 2 batteries 750-800 wh batteries

There is an R&M Charger on eBay. It is located in Lane Cove, NSW 2066. The seller is asking AU$3,500 for it. Looks good going from the photos. However, and this is a red flag to me ... "Ridden only 170 kms. .... The battery is well past its half-life, and is reflected in the asking price."

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

My most recent experience is with the Garmin Edge 1030. The manual, page 25 outlines the navigate to a location feature.

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

As I noted in my earlier reply, at least with the Edge 1000 and onwards, routing to POI, localities and addresses directly in the GPS unit is possible and I have done it at times. I have never used my phone. Maybe this is limited to the higher-end models in the range.

Thanks for the directions on the app. I did look at the app but missed that completely. I notice that the app maps show street names, which is helpful. Interestingly, I entered the name of a country town in Western Australia, and it returned suggestions in India. This is despite it showing my...

Ebike touring recommendations 120 km a day range with a 150 kg (bike+ rider luggage) and 750-800 wh battery or 2 batteries 750-800 wh batteries

My range comments previously reflect my bikepacking experience in Western Australia, which is predominantly on dirt roads (country roads, forestry tracks, sand, and singletrack), with more rolling terrain than mountains. I avoid bitumen where possible. That said, a normal day of riding can be...

32 in my SuperCharger. Another option is maybe the Turbo Tero 4.0 EQ or Turbo Tero 5.00 EQ with the Turbo Full Power 2.0 Motor and 710 Wh Battery. Not sure if you can use an extender battery with this setup. I am not that familiar with Shimano groupsets, but it has a Cues 9-speed, which does...

Ebike touring recommendations 120 km a day range with a 150 kg (bike+ rider luggage) and 750-800 wh battery or 2 batteries 750-800 wh batteries

Not Stefan but in my experience, I prefer motels or caravan park cabins or the like or if hotels I request a ground floor unit if possible and I just wheel my R&M to charge it. That said I can remove the batteries as a last resort but have not had to bother so far. Can you please provide the...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

I need to navigate to an unplanned address mid-ride today. I thought no problems, just ask the Wahoo Elemnt Ace to route to the address, just like you can in a Garmin. Was I wrong or what? You have to select the point you want to navigate to on a map, a map which does not show street names and a...

Ebike touring recommendations 120 km a day range with a 150 kg (bike+ rider luggage) and 750-800 wh battery or 2 batteries 750-800 wh batteries

I currently do mainly off-bitumen bikepacking rides with my Riese and Müller SuperCharger GT with a Rohloff IGH. I have no concerns riding 120 km on a charge, and in fact generally set my safety margin at 150 km. With hindsight and now experience of eBikes and well @Stefan Mikes endless...

Need Recommendation For A Lift To Work On Our Two Heavy Ebikes

Not my bike but I think you are referring to the spare tube. I have seen this approach to carrying one on many mountain bikes.

Need Recommendation For A Lift To Work On Our Two Heavy Ebikes

I believe that the rider was/is using the handlebars for holding the bike for cleaning etc. I suspect that the does not use them for any serious maintenance work.

Need Recommendation For A Lift To Work On Our Two Heavy Ebikes

I was poking around, looking at the use of Saris Bike Beam on bike stands (personally not convinced, but might use something similar to carry the bike on my Buzzrack e-Scorpion 2 car rack.] Anyway, while poking around the EMTB forums, I came across this user's use of handlebars to mount his bike...

Tyre Pressure Guage or yet another new pump

I take it you do not do multi-day tours or bikepacking on mixed surfaces where changing tyre pressure is necessary, more so on my fatbike :) From this: The View Made Up for the 4WD Track by Andrew Priest, on Flickr to this Hamersley Inlet Link Trail - Made It! - {Day 06-10} by Andrew...

Tyre Pressure Guage or yet another new pump

I did contact Lezyne, and their response was in more polite terms, "bad luck." Well outside of warranty. They did not even advise me of the option to purchase a replacement guage.

Tyre Pressure Guage or yet another new pump

As per my reply to Stefan, I am now wary of electronic pumps from China. I would really like to see some medium-term usage feedback before I am willing to actually try one again. Once burnt, twice shy, as the saying goes :) I could try a Fumpa, I guess.

Tyre Pressure Guage or yet another new pump

I have a pencil gauge which is fine, but it does not work with Presta valves, which two of my three bikes have.

Tyre Pressure Guage or yet another new pump

These are not readily available here, but I do plan to place an order with Bike24, where even with the horrendous shipping charge, I can come out in front, so may delay the order (not urgent) until they have them in stock. Alternatively, Aliexpress have what appears to be the genuine Schwalbe...

Tyre Pressure Guage or yet another new pump

First, each bike has its own pump, so I don't have to worry about remembering to switch pumps, which leads me to this week's dilemma. My HVG Lezyne Micro Floor Drive pump, which features a digital gauge that I used on my fat bike, has died, but the pump itself works fine. It is possible to get a...
