What are the 5 slots on an Aventon battery?

I am pretty sure the wire holder I have is made from silicone. It is very flexible and heatproof. It works great as long as your project can be placed flat on a table or bench. Like when shortening extension cables.

2026 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

It's Texas. Years ago a friend and coworker, who had just moved to the San Francisco Bay Area from Houston, came to work put out because he had left his shotgun on his back seat and a cop saw it and told him that was a bad idea in California.

What are the 5 slots on an Aventon battery?

You shouldn't need additional flux 99% of the time if you are using flux core solder.

What are the 5 slots on an Aventon battery?

Also rosin/flux core solder. But most have this. I also have a small tin of flux, but you probably won't need that.

What are the 5 slots on an Aventon battery?

I haven't tried them. I can see the advantage if you don't already own soldering tools, have a one off project, and don't splice wires very often.

What are the 5 slots on an Aventon battery?

One of the best purchases I have made for electronics projects was a Hakko soldering station. It gets hot quickly and makes short work of splicing. This also turned out to be a good purchase at less than $10:

What are the 5 slots on an Aventon battery?

Well, solder is essentially hot glue for wires. I think you will find that putting on connectors and crimping is more fiddly with arthritic fingers than twisting two wires together and soldering. A helping hand tool, lights and a magnifying glass can help. And just take your time.

Grits are a southern dish. It's not really a thing here in California. Glad you found something you could eat!

The big hotel chains will give you a bottle of water and a snack like chips or a cookie if you have status with them. Some include a breakfast buffet. Most won't even make the bed every day since Covid. I have never gotten complimentary room service. That must be a boutique hotel. It looks very...

    EMTB Advice?

This is the Specialized Turbo Levo 4 (104nm). You can see how the rear suspension requires some space and limits how low the top tube can go. Although it may be close to the Aventon.

    EMTB Advice?

Not full suspension, but maybe the Aventon Ramblas? If you can find an analog bike you like, you can put an ebike kit on it or get someone like @PedalUma to build one for you.

    Li-ion Battery experiences

The LIGO does not have dedicated discharge and charge wires. It has two Anderson connectors that can either charge or discharge and are intended for connecting the batteries together in a stack. Mine are the original LIGOs, but they have a new model that I think isn't potted.

    Li-ion Battery experiences

I tried with the Satiator and a regular 4 amp charger. I don't have a bench power supply. I have almost bought one many times, but couldn't really justify it for the number of times I could have used one. I'll think about it. I still have the dead battery as I haven't gotten around to going...

    Li-ion Battery experiences

The Grin LIGOs are fully potted. I bought them with the Brompton kit I got from Grin. I will never take the bike on a plane, so I will eventually replace them with something else. Right now, it still works with the five remaining batteries in a stack.

    Li-ion Battery experiences

It really depends on the BMS. I had a stack of six of the original Grin LIGO batteries that self discharge very quickly even when put in off mode. I have already lost one of them because it went below the LVC in around six months after being stored at 80% charge. I also have a Jumbo Shark 52V...

    The transition

A cyclist does have the right to take the lane, at least in California, and sometimes that is the safest thing for them to do on a narrow road where a car may try to pass them unsafely. I try to find alternate routes and not put myself in that situation. Sure, there are rude cyclists just like...

The 40 may fit in the front if it doesn't fit in the back and you could rotate the 38 to the rear.
