The integrity of Metal is compromised when twisted. It will weaken more when you straighten it. Its not worth the chance of having the fork fail on you while riding. Plus there is the issue of alignment. I cannot tell much from the picture.

Thanks. As I continue to ride longer distances, the Townie Commute was the right set up for me. Its still a somewhat relaxed riding position but less rolling resistance with the 28”x2” wheels. I have had it only a week and am looking forward to logging many miles and hours on the bike.

The Townie Commute Go is something like that. 28x 2 inch wheels, upright, bottom bracket is forward, but not like the Townie Go. Court did a thorough review on the Commute Go. o

I have the Electra Townie Go and the Electra Townie Commute. I have only had the Commute for a week.

It is not advisable to dismiss the purchase of a mid drive over a concern about chain stretch, wear or strain.

I have the mid-drive Bosch Perfomance Cruise on two bikes. In my opinion this motor and the Brose offer the smoothest feel compared to pedaling a traditional bike. There is a different feel and experience with a hub drive motor, but many ebikers are very happy with them.

Any comments I have heard so far have been a good natured tease, and nothing snarky. Many roadies that I talked to are very inquisitive about my bike and are complimentary on the quality of the bike. I’m happy they still have their health to ride fast on a nice road bike.
