E-bike riders pose far lower traffic safety risk than non-assisted riders

When I was a kid (long time ago!), we pushed backwards on the pedals--that was the only way to brake!

I'll go with the new mid-engine Corvette, thank you. Fastest automatic shifter in a production car, and the base model is only $60k (if you can find one). Hoping to get a used one in a few years @ around $45k. 500HP on the base model.

Battery will not mount in carrier EAHORA XC 100

Hey Bob, it's been a month since your last post (pictures)--how's the XC100 Plus performing? My XC100 (non-Plus) has finally moved from the "Ordered" to "Shipped" status, after eAhora sent me an update asking if I was willing to wait another 2 weeks or get a refund. I consented, hoping it...

Known Issues & Problems with Eahora Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Looks like they concentrate on scooters now, if this is the same company: https://zjznznkj.en.alibaba.com/company_profile.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.88.29.695a7b86WiQxYn If you click their "Products" link, then "electric bike", it returns "Selected Products (0/20)". Makes me wonder if that...

Up to 9 PAS Settings on Yolin YL80C LCD

The YL80C LCD display manual states you can have up to 8 modes and 9 PAS settings. The eAhora XC100 I ordered has this display, and I look forward to experimenting; however, the manual also has this disclaimer should you alter "personalization settings": "Ensure you do not change...

Known Issues & Problems with Eahora Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

So what was wrong--only that the bike was too tall for you? Gotta say, if that was the case, you could have found out the bike dimensions beforehand. Doesn't sound like an eAhora problem.

Known Issues & Problems with Eahora Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

YouTube video dated June 3rd shows eAhora has cutouts on their shipping box for the XC100. (I have seen previous YouTube "unboxing" videos where these cutouts were present but not used, i.e., not pressed in.) Hopefully this will prevent some of the rough handling by UPS & FedEx. Maybe they...

1st e-bike conversion, talk me up, or talk me down!

If you are still considering battery mounting options, I used these clamps on the Schwinn Meridian trike that I converted to electric. A couple of bucks each at Home Depot/Lowes. I used some padding around the tube to avoid paint damage.

E-Bike lights - Are they worth getting?

You know, had I thought of it when doing the wiring, I would have connected a voltmeter and tested the voltage from the controller to the light connection. In any case, I'll sacrifice some battery usage for the added safety. I've noticed it's easier to judge distance from oncoming bikes on a...

E-Bike lights - Are they worth getting?

I attempted to address it, but had to look up some watt-to-amp and volt-to-watt calculators. I may not have applied them correctly, however!

Wow. Go get 'em, NYCneed...I may follow if my XC100 has severe problems when it gets here. What about Amazon? And eAhora themselves? They have a website you can get an account on, but don't know if they would respond to any complaint made there. I've corresponded with them and they answered...

E-Bike lights - Are they worth getting?

My ebike light is 5watts. Based on a 48v/13aH battery, it is only drawing 0.1042 amps, or 0.00217 volts. Hardly a drain at all. Plus it turns off automatically when the controller switch is off. I don't have to worry about any batteries giving out or recharging using a USB or otherwise. For...

Need help deciding on a e-trike

Trikes are certainly not for everyone. But my wife has trouble balancing a 2-wheeler, so in 2019 she saw a Schwinn Meridian single-speed trike in Wal-Mart and it was marked down from $300 to $199, so we bought it. She didn't ride it much because it is heavy and the single speed sprocket means...
