Even Johnnynerdout would have challenges troubleshooting and repairing EBC bikes. They got to great lenghts to make you go to them for parts.. and now they are out of business. Bankrupt.

EBC uses a different pinout from controller to motor. Also, custom firmware from Controller to display. EBC is a classic example of why bike shops don't want to work on ebikes they don't sell.

I am curious if they still use the Strurmey Archer 3 speed hub (SXRK3) Sturmey Archer will not warranty the use on Ebikes. Also the Bafang software, has that changed ? Not being able to use just throttle. Having to be in peddle assist mode to use throttle is kind of useless. Good Luck.

I think the main problem is the warranty of work. They have to familiarized themselves with your specific set up, do and warranty the repair. It could be a potential headache for them. when the return is just a few hours of labor rate.
