stompandgo's Pinarello Nytro E5 Allroad build thread

Hey, Chris, am I seeing some optical illusion or is that rotor more of a conical section than a flat circle? Is that typical? Is that what you mean by a "flat mount?” Pardon the ignorance; that looks very weird to me.

Known Issues & Problems with Lectric eBikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Wow, I think you’re doomed, Tom. Good luck. This ONE is an interesting bike, combining the Pinion transmission and Gates belt with a rear hub drive. I’m not sure if there are others like it. Its uniqueness might be its Achilles heel.

    Aventon Aventure M

@Explorer-1 I know you were interested in the Aventon Aventure M… Did you end up getting one? And, how would you compare it to your Juiced RipCurrent S (a comparison that I would find very helpful)?

Hey, Pedal, just curious but how many e-bikes do you have, and did you build them all yourself?

Rad Power Bikes may close soon

Ah, I see. Thanks, Ray. They just added that portion of the debt to the offer (seems kind of weird to me) to calculate what the winning bidder is actually going to pay.

    Bafang 72v 3000w Rear-hub motor

If you have a link to this anywhere, let me know, Ken. Just curious, really. And, of course, I have seen nothing and know nothing about this company.

Rad Power Bikes may close soon

Thanks for the pointer to the article, @harryS . Any idea what this means?: "When accounting for Rad Power’s liabilities, the total value of the bid is $14.9 million."

Photochromic sunglasses - yes or no?

I use my shooting glasses RE (Randolph Engineering) Ranger XLW glasses when riding. The lenses are all non-polarized, but they are interchangeable and I’ve got everything from clear lenses to very dark. The good news is that for shooting, just like riding, the lenses go above the eyebrow and I...

    tandem wheel battle.

I hope the Rolf is tough enough for your use, @fooferdoggie . Sounds like @stompandgo approves of the company, and he works at a bike shop! Good luck. p.s./ any idea why your usage on a tandem is so hard on the wheel(s)? I’m just curious. I hadn’t heard of that before (not that I know much...

    Bafang 72v 3000w Rear-hub motor

Hi Run! Aventon has the Aventure model, which is a fatty that’s probably a better comparison than the Ramblas. The Aventure M is fairly new and has their A100 mid-drive as well as their most recent electronics to match. Very appealing bike, particularly at 73lbs. If I were shopping...

    Bafang 72v 3000w Rear-hub motor

Specs on the Atlas say it’s a Bafang G510 motor (mid-drive), which seems to be 52V, not 72V. Is that the bike you’re talking about? I’m not seeing the 3kW rear drive hub version??

    The Law Of Unintended Consequences

Been thinking about those barriers. I think they’d be pretty effective for slowing down the bike traffic between the two sets. And, yeah, people obviously divert around the whole section, as you’ve shown and pointed out. I’m not sure the diversion is “as intended,” but I’m thinking about the...

Talk me out, or in, of 2026 Homage 5.

I ride similarly to the way you do. You might want to look into a fat-tire bike. Look at the Aventon selection, which I think is available in Canada. The Aventure M is interesting to me because it has a lot of cool tech at a very reasonable price. Anyway, good luck in the hunt.
