I have not ridden 29's on an eMTB. 27.5+ are higher volume and tend to have more responsive handling which is more conducive to the wooded tight rolling hills trails near me. I live in the Great Lakes basin btw. Besides that , 27.5+ were the trend last couple years, now it's 29 or combo.
